Africa in Motion - Edinburgh African Film Festival

Festival Africa in Motion přijímá přihlášky od afrických tvůrců, kteří působí v Africe či v zahraničí. Cílem festivalu je především uvádět filmy mladé nastupující generace afrických filmařů, kteří žijí a pracují v Africe. Festival přijímá hrané, animované, experimentální i dokumentární filmy v libovolném formátu. Hrané filmy nesmí překročit délku 40 minut, dokumentární filmy 60 minut.

Osmý ročník festivalu Africa in Motion se bude konat na přelomu října a listopadu 2013. Uzávěrka přihlášek pro soutěž AiM krátkých filmů je 31. května 2013.

African filmmakers are invited to submit short films of no longer than 30 minutes for Africa in Motion's prestigious annual short film competition, to which a substantial cash prize is attached. Africa in Motion 2013 will take place at the end of October/beginning of November 2013.

The competition specifically targets young and emerging African film talent. Filmmakers who enter must not have completed a feature-length film previously. We call for short films on all themes and of all genres (including fiction, documentary, animation and experimental work) completed in 2011 or after. The aim of the Africa in Motion Short Film Competition is to nurture and support young and new filmmakers from all over the continent, in the knowledge that making films can be a real challenge and with hope that the prize will be invested in future projects by the filmmaker.
