ARTE, the “European cultural television” was founded in 1991. Its originality lays in the fact that it targets audiences from different cultural backgrounds, in particular French an German. It's heart beats to the pulse of European culture and the best that’s on the international scene. ARTE has always excelled and differentiated itself from other channels with its in-depth and hard hitting investigative programmes and this year has been no exception with offerings such as: “Our Daily Poison”, “The Berlusconi Files” and Günter Wallraff’s “Black on White – A Journey through Germany”, which have recently been honoured at the Grimme Awards and German Film Awards.
