1504 Sofia Bulharská národní televize byla založena v roce 1959, jako první televize v Bulharsku. Jako veřejná stanice produkuje a vysílá pořady o politice, ekonomice, kultuře, vědě a vzdělávací a informační pořady. Poskytuje svým divákům přímý přístup do národního a světového kulturního dědictví a porporuje vývoj národní kultury. V současnosti působí na zakládě zákonu o rozhlasovém a televizním vysílání z roku 1998. Má čtyři regionální centra v Blagoevgradu, Varně, Plovdivu a Russe.

Bulgarian National Television was founded in 1959. It was the first television launched in Bulgaria. It is a public broadcaster producing and broadcasting political, economic, cultural, scientific, educational and information programs, providing its audiences with direct access to national and world cultural heritage and supporting the development of national culture. Presently Bulgarian National Television operates on the basis of the Law for Radio and Television from 1998. It is a national public broadcasting station. It has four regional centers situated in the cities of Blagoevgrad, Varna, Plovdiv and Russe.
