Jens Loftager graduated from The National Danish Film School in 1989 and has worked as director ever since. Among his films are the two first parts of this trilogy, Words (1994, Special Mention at Nordisk Panorama) and War (2003, awarded Best Danish Documentary). Both with Anthony Dod Mantle as cinematographer. Chairman of Danish Film Directors (2006-08). Received a 3-year Director’s Working Grant from The Danish Art Foundation; Committee for Film and Performing Arts (2008-11). Committee-member on The Danish Art Foundation; Committee for Film and Performing Arts (2011-14).
