Doc Launch
Doc Launch presentation
Doc launch presentation annually introduces 7 - 9 handpicked feature-length documentaries from Central and Eastern Europe in the post-production/rough-cut stage. The aim is to inform festival programmers, distributors, sales agents, TV commissioning editors, buyers, press and audiences about films in post-production slated for theatrical release over the next couple of months. At the same time, Doc Launch provides the participating projects a unique opportunity to obtain the finances to finish them in a completed film.
What projects are we looking for?
- Doc Launch is open to rought cuts and projects in post-production stage. Directors and producers will have the opportunity to deeply consult rough cuts and/or selected footage with renowned international editors and drammaturgists. The consultations anre not mandatory.
- We particularly seeking creative documentary projects from Central and Eastern Europe, Russiaand post-Soviet republics in development and production stage (East European Forum), rough cuts or post-production stage (Doc Launch). The selection is also open to productions from other parts of Europe with projects thematically bound to our region. Despite such a geographic focus we annually pick a number of projects without any relation to our region.
- We prefer creative feature-length documentary projects, however, the selection is also open to shorter formats.
