www.DOKweb.net is a portal dedicated to East European documentary film. The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

Centeast Warsaw – Moscow Submissions Underway

CentEast Warsaw-Moscow (October 15 - 17, 2010) presents feature and documentary projects/completed films from 12 countries that are looking for distribution partners. Deadline for project submissions: September 9, 2010. Participants can register before September 30.

CentEast Warsaw-Moscow project was launched in 2009. It is a project designed to promote the cinema of Eastern Europe. We present the selected projects, which are in an advanced shooting stage or in post-production or are already completed, but before international premiere, to the film professionals, especially: sales agents, distributors and festival programmers. By participating in the CentEast Warsaw-Moscow, a project stands a chance of securing a distribution deal even before it's completed.

For the 2010 edition of CentEast Warsaw-Moscow the organisers are looking for the works-in-progress and completed films before international premieres (both feature films and documentaries for theatrical release) from: Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

Selection Criteria:
- artistic quality of the project
- reputation of the Filmmakers
- international market potential
- existence of the visual material

The selected projects will be presented:
- October 15, 2010 at the 6th CentEast Market Warsaw, organised during 26th Warsaw Film Festival, www.wff.pl,
- October 17, 2010 at CentEast Moscow: Project for Tomorrow, organised during the 4th 2morrow International Film Festival, www.2morrow.ru.
