In November 1997, the deputy chairmen of the right-wing Civic Democratic Party (ODS) stood up against the then Prime Minister Václav Klaus. Initiated by doubts about the party’s funding, the row polarized the party’s membership, brought down the government and led to an early general election. The events are known as Sarajevo Assassination: Mr Klaus and his followers saw it as a huge conspiracy, where as his opponents just wanted to let Mr Klaus know they do not share his political views. Ten years later, the film aims to analyze the different explanations of the events.

A patient camera chronicles the Transylvanian village of Viscri slowly extricating itself from poverty typical to the outskirts of the European union in an original way: by the means of sock making. The trade continues a centuries-old handicraft tradition rejuvenated by the conditions of global export. This is the hope of a German businessman who has turned a part of the village where cows cross muddy streets into a large manufacture. In a relaxed way, the directors capture the lives of the people in harmony with the serene beauty of the surrounding landscape to depict its change in details of everyday scenes.

On Akhmeteli St. #4 in Tbilisi, Georgia, there stands a decrepit apartment house the director of this documentary once grew up in. After 10 years spent abroad, he returns to capture the daily life of his neighbors on camera. the authorquietly observes their private stories and examines how they are able to find happiness despite economical hardship andhow they preserve their personalities and humor in spite of disillusion. Artistically, the film is based on the house as a microcosm metaphorical of today‘s Georgian society.
