Pitch.Doc annually presents several creative documentary projects from South Caucasus. The event allows filmmakers from Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan to share their experiences, ideas and skills, and gives them an opportunity to find additional funding for their projects. It takes place concurrently with the Tbilisi Film Festival (Dec 6-11) - documentary films in the lineup include Bakhmaro, Ramin, and more...

Armenia
Word in Pain (working title)

Parents of soldiers who died in the military during peace times or under suspicious circumstances speak up and take courage to present their cases in court.
Azerbaijan
5th Monkey

The film shows what people tried to learn for thousands of years and what is happening to us now that we have become perfect and turned into the 5th monkey.
Metamorphoses of Fallos

A juxtaposition of tradition and non-tradition. The traditional is portrayed by ritual circumcision widely accepted as the transition to manhood. On the other hand, the process of sex change represents a non-traditional practice.
Georgia
Library

Twenty women have been working in the same small library building for over 30 years and none of them wants to quit. The building is cold with an air of the Soviet times, the salaries are low, the women are not married and the tiny provincial town doesn’t read books.
Venera

Venera Martkopashvili, 48, native Georgian and a wife of a Roma man has been living in a Roma community for 30 years. She represents the bridge between one of the most neglected ethnic minorities and the rest of society.
