Golden Girls Filmproduktion is a group of directors and producers who have been active since the early 1990s in the areas of commercials/music videos, industrial and image films, cinema and TV film production as well as post-production. Over the last decade they have been able to establish for themselves a firm position in the Austrian production landscape by virtue of their reliable continuity and versatility. Their strategy of adopting a vertical structure while retaining a high degree of pricing flexibility pricing due to compete in-house production facilities has ensured constant increase in profits as well as an outstanding reputation in the film industry. The company comprises a total of 10 direct staff. Execution of pre-production, production, postproduction, graphics, special effects, sound, music composition and web design - all under one roof. The films of the golden girls collective have won more than 60 international awards in the last 5 years. The fictional debut of Co-owner Arash T. Riahi (Wega Film & Les Films du Losange) “For a moment freedom” was Austria’s foreign Oscar entry 2010.

Each year, the festival showcases amateur, student films and short films.

For me Gone Fishing means throwing my camera bag over my shoulder and go and tease the world. The films I create are mixtures of still photographs and moving images. All these blended together with live sound recorded on location. I then become a photographer-cameraman-soundman.

Good Hope Films, LLC came about as a collaborative effort between Russian and American filmmakers dedicated to telling compelling stories to foster understanding between our two nations. The company keeps offices in Moscow and Los Angeles and has immediate access to cutting edge talent, technical infrastructure, and financing necessary to see projects effectively through to completion. Since 1998 GIFF in cooperation with SIDA (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) runs the Göteborg International Film Festival Fund. It is a fund that supports filmmakers who live and work in emerging economies. The Fund provides development support, post-production support and technical assistance.

The Göteborg Film Festival is the biggest public film festival in Scandinavia. Each year, some 400 films are screened for 110 000 visitors. Additionally, some 60 film related seminars attract roughly 5000 visitors. The aim of the festival is today two-fold. It is an annual opportunity to offer interested viewers a broad program of films that not always reach the cinemas. It is also a meeting place for the Nordic film industry. In 2000 the festival established a market place for Nordic film. The ambition was to strengthen the role of the festival as a Nordic meeting place and to be the interational link to new Nordic films. During four days, new films are screened for an international group of buyers, distributors and festival representatives. The market place, which runs parallel to the ordinary festival, is called the Nordic Film Market and hosts 130-140 specially invited guests each year. It is today the biggest single market place for Nordic films.

The commission works to promote Gotland as an attractive film location with excellent technical and professional infrastructure.

The Gotland Film Fund invests in the production and coproduction of short, documentary and feature films.

The Göttingen International Ethnographic Film Festival is a biennial event. It is open to all filmmakers, but especially those from enthropology, anthropology, sociology, folklore and neighbouring disciplines. It provides a great opportunity for international co-operation in Visual Anthropology and documentary filmmaking. The general aim of the festival is to promote documentary cinema in the context of intra- and intercultural communication and to give credit to new films, videos or interactive media dealing with anthropology, sociology and cultural studies in a wide sense of the term. Organised as an event in the heart of Europe, media from Central and Eastern Europe will be accepted with particular interest.
