Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

The manner of development can be various: we like accurately planned films, spontaneously done projects, exercices and inventive products which came into being by accident. Filmmakers who are not willing to fix their creativity into a kind of commercial frame are invited to share their work with the festival audience. Originality of narration or progress are the crucial factors of evaluation. The festival accepts super short films under 3min and short films 3-15min.

Lund International Fantastic Film Festival

Country Sweden Type of link Festival Section short, fiction Event month September
Fantastic film is usually used as a collective term for film genres like science fiction, fantasy and horror. But Lund International Fantastic Film Festival (FFF) does not set narrow limits for what can be screened at the festival. In short fantastic cinema is about imagination. The aim of the festival is to help stretch the limits of the imagination, and to reinforce the intrinsic value of imagination in films. Since the inception in 1995, close to 600 films from more than 30 countries have been screened at the festival, both shorts and feature films. The majority of the films screened also receive their Swedish premiere. Sometimes the festival focuses on different directors, interesting countries or specific themes. Special focus is always on the European continent, which contributes with at least 70% of the films at the festival. The programme also includes the Mélies Competition.
