The independent production company Terre&Air was established in 2009 in Moscow, Russia, by Russian filmmaker Sveta Strelnikova. At the present time Terre&Air has a team of three people and two projects in progress. Searching for Unknown… is the company's first feature documentary project.

Established in November 1994 by Cypriot film producer/director Stavros Papageorghiou, Tetraktys Films is considered one of the most active production companies in Cyprus in the audiovisual sector. Tetraktys Films is the only production company in Cyprus with a record of receiving financial support from the Media development programme of the European Union and the Cyprus Cinema Advisory Committee for the development and/or production of documentaries and fiction films. Tetraktys films focuses on the development and production of creative documentary films, industrial and image-building films, factual TV programmes, fiction films and, since 2010, transmedia storytelling cultural projects.

The All Roads Seed Grant Program funds film projects by and about indigenous and underrepresented minority-culture filmmakers year-round and from all reaches of the globe. The program seeks filmmakers who bring their lives and communities to light through first-person storytelling. Submission deadlines are quarterly on the 15th of each March, June, September, and December. Award notifications are made approximately six weeks after each of these dates.

Each year the Co-operative Film Festival screens approx. 100 short films made by filmmakers under 21. Entries must be under 6 minutes long. Films under 3 minutes are particularly encouraged.

Championing Independent Journalism, The Frontline Club is the London hub for a diverse group of people united by their passion for the best quality journalism. The Frontline Club opened in 2003. It was founded by surviving members of Frontline News TV, a cooperative of freelance cameramen formed during the chaos of the Romanian revolution in 1989. It is home to over 200 talks and screenings a year.

The Galway Film Fleadh – Ireland’s leading film festival, is a six day international film event held every July and welcomes a mad diversity of filmmaking from around the world.
