Established in 1992, The Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion of cultural and racial tolerance and understanding through the exhibition of film, art and creative expression.
It is PAFF’s goal to present and showcase the broad spectrum of Black creative works, particularly those that reinforce positive images and help to destroy negative stereotypes. We believe film and art can lead to better understanding and foster communication between peoples of diverse cultures, races, and lifestyles, while at the same time, serve as a vehicle to initiate dialogue on the important issues of our times.
Each year, PAFF presents:

* One of America’s largest fine art shows featuring prominent and emerging black artists and fine crafts people, including local, national and international poets, musicians and storytellers.

The Film Market promotes the majority of the feature films participating in the official sections of the TIFF. From this year, more titles from the countries that the Thessaloniki Agora – Market focuses on will be presented although they will not be selected for the festival’s main program. Also, the Film Market includes the previous films of the Balkan Fund and Crossroads participants and a selection of Greek films produced within the past two years.

The Thessaloniki Documentary Festival “Images of the 21st Century” is an international Festival of Documentary films and videos. This market for documentary films is organized in Thessaloniki since the 1st Doc Festival of Thessaloniki and its aim is to cover the specific sectors of commercial activity dictated by the needs of the television networks of Europe. Many European countries are participating in the Doc Market, through the presentation of independently produced documentary films. One of the main goals of the Doc Market is to give the big picture of what is going on in documentary film.
