Established in 1992, The Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion of cultural and racial tolerance and understanding through the exhibition of film, art and creative expression. It is PAFF’s goal to present and showcase the broad spectrum of Black creative works, particularly those that reinforce positive images and help to destroy negative stereotypes. We believe film and art can lead to better understanding and foster communication between peoples of diverse cultures, races, and lifestyles, while at the same time, serve as a vehicle to initiate dialogue on the important issues of our times. Each year, PAFF presents: * Over One Hundred (100) quality films from the United States, Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the South Pacific and Canada, all showcasing the diversity and complexity of people of African descent. * One of America’s largest fine art shows featuring prominent and emerging black artists and fine crafts people, including local, national and international poets, musicians and storytellers.

The Red House Centre for Culture and Debate provides an opportunity for the youngest generation to participate in public life, brings together young artists who are ready to question the prevailing perceptions and offers them a place to realize and present their projects. Through its socio-political programmes, the Red House Centre for Culture and Debate creates a forum which stimulates public debate, brings new ideas into public politics, educates a new generation of political leaders and brings together the cultural and political elite of the nation. The Red House Centre for Culture and Debate organises and presents socio-political as well as artistic, cultural and training programmes.

The Right Film Company commissions/buys/distributes documentary, educational and children programs on DVD, BluRay, VOD in Russia/CIS. I am also one of the two curators of the Moscow International Film Festival Documentary program (competition and non-competition sections) and select films for the show on creative docs which is broadcast by Rossia K (Kultura) Channel. I am also consulting several TV channels and networks in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan on documentary programming/acquisition.

The Theatre and Cinema Information and Education Centre is public enterprise founded in 1996 by theatre critics Audronis Liuga and Ramunė Marcinkevičiūtė as well as the film critic Živilė Pipinytė. Its goals are to initiate and put into practice local, as well as, international theatre and film projects that encourage artistic and infrastructural changes of the scenic arts in Lithuania. The informational and educational activities of the centre are oriented towards the creators of film and theatre, as well as their audience, its purpose is also to encourage the development of non-state scenic art organisations.

The Thessaloniki Cinema Museum was founded in 1997. The museum maintains a collection of film-related materials and organizes educational and research programs in collaboration with others museums to study and document any artifacts related to cinema. The collection of the Thessaloniki Museum of Cinema includes: film cameras, film projectors, old equipment and accessories, Greek and foreign newsreels, documentary films (Greek and foreign), trailers, posters and books, film magazines, statistics, film score library.

The Thessaloniki Documentary Festival “Images of the 21st Century” is an international Festival of Documentary films and videos. The main aim is to introduce and promote the most important documentary productions worldwide and to create an international forum for the presentations and discussion of emerging media and information technologies. TDF is organized under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture with the support of the Greek Television Network (ERT), and is administered by the International Thessaloniki Film Festival. The programme includes: Greek and international selection of current productions, retrospectives, Doc Market, Pitching Forum.

The Pitching Forum – Docs In Thessaloniki, running since 2001 in collaboration with the European Documentary Network -a member-based organisation for professionals working with documentary feature projects- gives local and foreign documentary professionals the opportunity to have their projects pitched to a panel of international financiers, commissioning editors and representatives of the international audiovisual media.

This market for documentary films is organized in Thessaloniki since the 1st Doc Festival of Thessaloniki and its aim is to cover the specific sectors of commercial activity dictated by the needs of the television networks of Europe. Many European countries are participating in the Doc Market, through the presentation of independently produced documentary films. One of the main goals of the Doc Market is to give the big picture of what is going on in documentary film. It provides a substantial space to its participants, outfitted with 30 digital, fully equipped booths for private viewing of the Market films. The market, organized in cooperation with the Greek Public Television (ERT S.A.) and with the support of the Media Program of the European Union, caters to the needs of television networks from European countries and a wide range of professionals from various parts of the world.

The Thessaloniki International Film Festival takes place every year in Thessaloniki.
