Crossing Bridges Productions is a Kosovo based film and TV production studio, focused primarily on producing high quality documentary films and television programming that addresses the most pressing social issues in Kosovar society. Formerly functioning as the Crossing Bridges NGO, the Crossing Bridges team has produced over 12 documentary films in the past several years, along with several public awareness campaigns and educational programs. Much of this recent work has focused on emerging issues of women’s rights and empowerment. As well, Crossing Bridges cooperates with BIRN and RTK to produce the acclaimed current affairs show, “Life in Kosovo”. Documentary films by Crossing Bridges have recently been screened at international film festivals in Berlin, New York, Prague, Sarajevo, Novi Sad and Prizren. The Crossing Bridges production team is not only skilled and experienced in producing dynamic and engaging films and programs, but is also dedicated to the understanding that the media is an essential tool in raising public awareness and critical thinking, and thus engaging society to take a more informed and active role in improving our quality of life.

The company was founded in 1994 by young writers, musicians and amateur filmmakers aiming to produce low-budget horror movies and thrillers (based on Italian traditions) for the Hungarian film market. In the past years they have made many films and music videos including five feature films. They prefer special genres like horror, thriller or Tarantino-like comedies that are popular in Hungary but the "official" film industry has not so far embraced this kind of movies. The members of the team are not filmschool-educated filmmakers but they focus more on the audience's taste and so they are able to create movies that appease the cinemagoers.

Its principal task is the creation of television channels and the broadcasting thereof in digital form via terrestrial transmitters and other technical facilities. By this activity, as well as by programme production and, possibly, by other activities, Czech Television provides services to the public and fosters the development of culture.

Production company Film production company “Czolowka” (the forefront) has been active since 1958 and is a state-owned film institution. The company specializes in production of documentaries dealing with history, culture, education and the military. Many outstanding artists have cooperated with our company in film-shooting, including Krzysztof Zanussi, Wojciech Marczewski, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Witold Sobocinski, Andrzej Kostenko, Slawomir Idziak. Films produced by F.P.C. “Czolowka” which have been presented during prestigious film festivals in Poland and abroad have won many awards. Lately, in 2001, the film “I am bad” directed by Grzegorz Pacek won Grand Prix in Krakowski Festiwal Filmowy (the Cracow Film Festival). F.P.C. “Czolowka” is also a co-producer of feature films (e.g. “Zona przychodzi noca” – Wife comes at night – the co-production with a Russian film production company). Our company also rendered overall production services on the territory of Poland as regards the Dutch film “Character” directed by Mike van Diema (Oscar for a non-English-language film). We also specialize in after-production, as we have ready-to-use state-of-the-art editing devices. We edit cinema and TV films, as well as series and soap operas. Our advantage is also shooting-halls with all support. The president of the Film Production Company “Czolowka” is director Janusz Chodnikiewicz.
