Fantastic film is usually used as a collective term for film genres like science fiction, fantasy and horror. But Lund International Fantastic Film Festival (FFF) does not set narrow limits for what can be screened at the festival. In short fantastic cinema is about imagination. The aim of the festival is to help stretch the limits of the imagination, and to reinforce the intrinsic value of imagination in films. Since the inception in 1995, close to 600 films from more than 30 countries have been screened at the festival, both shorts and feature films. The majority of the films screened also receive their Swedish premiere. Sometimes the festival focuses on different directors, interesting countries or specific themes. Special focus is always on the European continent, which contributes with at least 70% of the films at the festival. The programme also includes the Mélies Competition.

Malescorto - International Short Film Festival is divided into three main sections: Fiction, Maleskids (child actors) and Documentary. The International Cinematographers Film Festival “Manaki Brothers” in Bitola is organized by the Macedonian Film Professionals Association (MFPA). Each year, the ICFF “Manaki Brothers” is held in Bitola under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Macedonia and is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia. The main part of the Festival’s program belongs to Camera 300 – the Official Competition of Long Feature Films from the most recent European and world production. The cinematographers of these films contend for the Golden, Silver and Bronze Camera 300, awarded by the Festival’s International Jury. Beside the Official Competition, the Festival shows a Short Film Program that is non-competitive. In addition, the Student Program “Manaki Brothers” is dedicated to young, talented filmmakers.
