The Rotterdam Film Fund aims at stimulating and strengthening the audio-visual industry in the Rotterdam region. It does so by providing financial support (interest free loan) for feature films, documentaries and television drama productions which are produced, or partly produced in this region. Foreign producers need a co-producer based in Rotterdam. The Rotterdam Commission offers free assistance with locations, facilities, local crew and permits.

The society is financed by the Regional council and by the CNC. Its mission is to fund full-length productions that are made in the region (co-production investment), to ensure the accessibility and distribution of films across the region, and to contribute to the vitality of local culture.

Robert Bosch Stiftung offers new type of film funding by awarding three great promotional prizes for short film, animated film and documentary film by young German and Eastern/South Eastern Europeans. Robert Bosch Stiftung promotional prize enables the winning filmmakers to carry out their project and acquire skills and experience for their future work in the film business. The main goal is to promote joint film production to encourage lasting exchange and development of European cinema. It is focused on Eastern and Southeastern European filmmakers because of its significant cinematografic tradition and stunning creativity under often difficult conditions. The films acquire a wider audience and a cultural landscape of Eastern Europe. A great oportunity to make new contacts and develop social skills. Applications must be made by team groups. The main partners are TV channel ARTE, the Filmbüro Baden-Württemberg, and the goEast Film Festival in Wiesbaden.

The Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (RTR-GmbH) was established as the operative arm of KommAustria as well as the Telekom Control Commission to create a convergence regulator under the KommAustria Act (KOG) of April 1, 2001. The tasks of the RTR include the following: Definition of standard payment rates for the right to use land for telecommunication lines, assigning and monitoring the use of communications parameters (e.g., telephone numbers), administration and awarding of grants from the Austrian Digitization Fund and the Austrian Television Endowment. The Television Fund (FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA) is intended to make a contribution to improving the quality of television production and the capacity of the Austrian film industry, as well as reinforcing Austria as a media location and ensuring the diversity of the cultural landscape. In addition, the grants are also intended to contribute to the strengthening of the audiovisual sector in Europe.

The Institution for Cultural-Artistic Programs is, in this country’s long tradition, the institution which worked the longest on the organization of the musical and musical-dramatic programs. With the beginning of war, its activity was interrupted. Thus, in year 1999, the Canton Sarajevo founded “Sarajevo Arts Agency” - the Public Institution for the Cultural Events’ Organization and for the International Cooperation in the Field of Culture. It legally overtook the activities of the Institution for Cultural-Artistic Programs.

The Sarajevo Cinema Fund (Fondacija za kinematografiju Sarajevo) was established in 2002 with the aim of helping and developing B&H cinema. It was founded by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina. Besides partial financing of production of feature films, shorts and documentaries, the Fund also gives significant support for script development, film promotion and distribution, film festivals and professional education and training.

Sarajevo City of Film is a fund that was established in 2008 in order to support the production of short micro-budget films, developed through artistic and technical cooperation between young filmmakers from South Eastern Europe.

We allocate Lottery Funding on behalf of the UK Film Council through the Regional Investment Fund for England. (RIFE). Screen East promotes the East of England as the ideal location for film and television production and attracts inward investment by marketing the locations, facilities, skills and expertise available in the region; develops the talent, skills and innovation of the region’s new and existing workforce; invests in the development of film, television and digital media businesses based in the East of England; creates opportunities for audiences in the East of England to enjoy and experience moving image culture and heritage; celebrates the diversity of the people who live and work in the region in order to break down barriers to working in the media industries.

Screen South is passionate about developing a dynamic environment in which film and media culture can flourish. Screen South aims to: provide the first port of call for funding and information relating to film in the region, collaborate with existing organisations to develop hubs of activity and expertise, encourage networking and collaboration between media practitioners, work with the industry to set standards for excellence, creativity and innovation, act as an advocate for the region’s film and media industry nationally and internationally, promote the profile of the region to attract inward investment, find creative ways of developing audiences for film and the moving image, promoting opportunities for education and wider access, act as a key route for the flow of information between the Film Council, regional organisations and film makers. Screen WM is the regional agency which supports, promotes and develops a sustainable and thriving screen media sector in the West Midlands. Screen WM will: promote the West Midlands region by raising the profile of its diverse locations, promote the West Midlands by highlighting the abundance of talent within the region’s screen media sector, support businesses through skills development and financial assistance, develop talent, from new entrants to professional freelancers and employees, within the West Midlands through skills development, support the region’s moving image heritage and develop access to it, develop and inspire audiences across a broad range of screen media, promote and develop the cultural diversity of the region through the moving image.

Screen Yorkshire is the regional screen agency - the gateway to the best in film, broadcast and digital media in the Yorkshire and Humber region. Screen Yorkshire is responsible for inspiring, promoting and supporting a successful long-term film and media sector for the region. Funding and support: feature and short films, business development, training, audiences, programming and education.

The Shaw Media-Hot Docs Completion Fund is a grant program that will provide financial support of up to $100,000 (limited to a maximum of 20% of a project's budget) for production companies to complete specific projects. The Completion Fund is open to producers who have attracted demonstrated market interest in their documentaries. The Completion Fund is expected to support on average 6 to 9 projects per year.

The Shaw Media-Hot Docs Development Fund is a loan program designed to help producers get specific projects developed, researched, written and/or packaged and ready for market. The Fund will provide no-interest loans averaging between $10,000 - $15,000 in the early development stage, when projects are at the highest risk and may have not yet secured a market partner. The Development Fund is expected to support on average 10 to 12 projects per year.

Skillset is the Sector Skills Council for the Audio Visual Industries (broadcast, film, video, interactive media and photo imaging). Jointly funded by industry and government, our job is to make sure that the UK audio visual industries have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time, so that our industries remain competitive. The Skillset fund offers training grants for individuals, companies and training providers seeking to attend or deliver film-specific vocational training. Film industry professional who wish to attend a training course but need financial support or organisations wishing to run a film specific training scheme and seeking funding may be eligible for support from the Skillset Film Skills Fund.

The main goal of The Southern Transdanubia Film Fund Project is to enhance the film initiatives and to strengthen the film industry's basis in the Pécs region. The film fund plans to support film productions, young artists as well as film education. The film fund project cooperates with the MMK (Motion Picture Public Foundation of Hungary) the Visual Art Faculty of the University of Pécs, the Pollack Mihály Faculty of Engineering (University of Pécs) the Greenhill Studios Company (studio facilities) and the Studio Beastarts Company (3D Digital Animation Studio).

The aim of the State Culture Capital Foundation (SCCF) is to promote a balanced development of creativity in all the branches of art and preservation of the cultural heritage in the country in conjunction with the guidelines of the state cultural policy. The SCCF does not deal with any commercial activities. The SCCF announces and administers culture projects’ competitions, allots life long grants for culture and arts workers for their life achievement in development of culture and art and gives financial support to short term educational, creative or scientific travels abroad.

The State Fund for the Support and Development of Czech Cinematography was established in 1992 and has been operating since 1993 as the major and most essential source of funding for the Czech film industry.

The Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program provides year-round support to contemporary-issue nonfiction filmmakers worldwide in the production of cinematic, feature-length documentaries with human rights themes. Services include the Sundance Documentary Fund, three Creative Documentary Labs annually, work-in-progress screenings held at cultural institutions globally, presentations by invitation worldwide, documentary support at the Sundance Film Festival and the Sundance Creative Producing Summit. The Sundance Documentary Fund is a core program of the Sundance Documentary Film Program, granting between $1 and $2 million per year. The Fund is very competitive, generally receiving between 1500 and 2000 applications per year and making 40-60 awards annually. A panel of world-class film professionals and human rights experts conduct a review of each docket. Proposals are evaluated on effective storytelling, originality, artistic approach, global relevance and timeliness and potential for social engagement.
