B3 makes connections: between Britain's multicultural communities and its creative industries. We do so by uniting the power of digital media with the creative potential of emerging digital artists, film makers, visual artists and sound artists. Our activities - workshops, screenings, studio sessions, talks, networking events - are all about nurturing new talent and creating industry connections. We help them develop, produce and distribute their work, from the first spark of an idea through to the first showing and beyond.

The Balkan Documentary Center (BDC) is an initiative of the team behind AGITPROP production company. On the one hand, it is a virtual network and framework for support, our very own 0700-BALKANDOCU helpline. On the other, it is a brick-and-mortar actual house in downtown Sofia to be equipped with everything necessary to make this support technically possible, from research lab to production equipment and post facilities.

Baltic Media Centre is an independent, non-profit foundation (NGO) promoting democracy, social development and a peaceful international co-operation through the active participation of the media. To stimulate this the centre provides regional, national, and in-house training of media professionals, initiation of international co-productions, legal advice and expert consultancies, networking and other services for radio, television, independent production companies, and print media. One of the activities is the Baltic Sea Forum, which is organized for producers of documentary films and television programmes from the Baltic Sea region.

BAM is the Flemish institute for visual, audiovisual and media art. It functions as an independent organisation that provides information, and encourages development and networking - both within the visual arts fields and crossing boundaries into other disciplines. BAM encourages collaboration and exchange between Flemish organisations and institutions abroad and tries to increase the interest in and knowledge of the Flemish art scene abroad through an international communication and by organising a visitors programme for foreign art professionals. BAM is funded by the Flemish Community and is based in Ghent, Belgium. The British Board of Film Classification is an independent, non-governmental body, which has classified cinema films since it was set up in 1912, and videos since the passing of the Video Recordings Act in 1984. Through the efficient classification of the moving image into advisory and age-related categories, the provision of consumer advice and the maintenance of our archive: we give the public information that empowers them to make appropriate viewing decisions for themselves and those in their care. We help to protect vulnerable viewers and society from the effects of viewing potentially harmful or unsuitable content while respecting adult freedom of choice; we provide media industries with the security and confidence of cost-effective, publicly trusted regulation and help to protect providers of moving image content from inadvertent breaches of UK law.

The Bill Douglas Centre for the History of Cinema and Popular Culture contains both a public museum and an academic research centre, housing one of Britain's largest public collections of books, prints, artefacts and ephemera relating to the history and prehistory of cinema. Black Box Foundation was amongst the first film companies to make documentaries about the changes in the political and social system in Hungary and other ex-communist countries. The organisation was founded in 1987, and during the last 15 years they have recorded 4.000 hours on video about ethnic minorities, discriminated groups, mentally or physically handycapped people, as well as many films and television programs about the changes in social and political life. They founded the Romany Media School in 2001, presently attended by 14 students. The staff of the Black Box Foundation was awarded the Hungarian Pulitzer Prize in 1993.
