The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

Activities of the Film Archive include special storage, maintenance, preservation and restoration of films and audiovisual material of Slovak production, and in accordance with regulations of the International Federation of Film Archives FIAF , it also restores a selection of significant films of foreign origin. The materials owned by and collected in the Archive can be lend to film professionals and educational establishments according to the Lending Rules.

Film Center Serbia

Film Center Serbia (FCS) is an institution based on the achievements of the highly respected Film Institute (1963-2004). FCS was established in 2004 under the Ministry of Culture, with the aim of strategic development and reconstruction of the Serbian film industry. FCS was established: • to creatively stimulate and administer financial support to Serbian cinema on behalf of the Ministry of Culture of Serbia, through annual competitions for screenplay and project development, film production and postproduction. • to create a legal and administrative framework for the development of film industry and therefore facilitate the necessary transformation of film industry and culture while upholding the standards of the European Union. • to allow for the distribution and copyright enforcement of the cinematic cultural heritage. • to create better conditions for the professional advancement of all structures that make up the Serbian film industry. The Filmmuseum is Holland's museum for cinematography. The museum's collection of films covers the whole of the history of cinema from the very first silent films, dating from the late 19th century, up to the latest contemporary digital productions. This internationally renowned collection, to which many Dutch and foreign titles are regularly added, is the source of inspiration for the museum's film programmes, exhibitions and events. Every year, there are major thematic programmes examining the history of film and contemporary cinematographic developments. In addition, the museum organises open-air screenings, festivals, theatrical family shows and retrospectives. The Filmmuseum houses the largest film library in the Netherlands. The museum also acts as distributor of classics and contemporary, independent films. The museum has a collection that includes 46,000 film titles, 35,000 posters and 450,000 photographs.

Filmoteca Española - Spanish Cinematheque

The Spanish Cinematheque was established in 1953. Its mission is to collect, protect and research Spanish films and to raise public awareness about the Spanish audiovisual heritage.
