Polish history, science, film, theatre, music, fine arts - these are the activites of the Polish Institute in Prague which belongs among the oldest Polish institutions of its kind in Europe. Polish Institute in Prague is the follow-on of the Polish embassy cultural deprtment from the twenties, it ran as Polish Cultural Center after the second world war and became the Polish Institute in 1994.

The Public Fund for Cultural Activities (JSKD) is a governmental institution covering all branches of youth and non-professional (amateur) culture and art: vocal and instrumental music, theatre and puppetry, folklore, film and video, literature, fine arts and dance. JSKD has its headquarters in Ljubljana and 58 branch offices all over Slovenia, 10 of them functioning at an inter-regional level. This network seeks to foster public interest in culture and stimulate the development of Slovene youth and amateur art.

The Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting (Czech Republic) is established by the Broadcasting Act dated 17 May 2001 (No. 231/2001 Coll.) as an administrative authority which shall execute government administrationin the area of radio and television broadcasting and retransmission. The Council shall supervise maintaining and further development of plurality of programme offer and information in the area of radio and television broadcasting and retransmission, shall observe the independence of its content and shall fulfil other tasks laid down by legal regulations.

Restart is an organization focused on production, distribution, publishing, exhibition and education in making creative documentary films and shorts. Restart was founded in 2007 and founders are younger film and media experts working in the field of documentary films, experimental films and animation. Our continuous programs are: 1.) Education - school for documentary films and video activism workshops, 2.) professional film production, 3.) Restart Laboratory for first time authors, 4.) Restart Label - distribution of creative documentaries on the territory of ex-Yugoslavia, 5.) Dokukino - exhibition platform for creative documentaries

The Riga Documentary Film Studio 1940 - 1999 was established in the 1940. Now it is the oldest and largest film-producing studio in Latvia, which unites the greatest part of professional documentary filmmakers. Films made at the RDFS by such famous directors as Uldis Brauns, Aivars Freimanis, Ivars Seleckis, Hercs Franks, Ansis Epners, Andris Slapins and Juris Podnieks have merited acknowledgement at the international film festivals and shows in Oberhausen, Leipzig, Rouen, Los-Angeles, Amsterdam, Yamagata... In Glasgow the film made by Ivars Seleckis Crossroad Street was recognized as the most remarkable documentary of the Europe in 1990 and the prize "Felix" was conferred to it. Therefore we can speak about Riga documentary school, which has proved its high quality on the screens of the whole world. Beside short and feature-length documentaries RDFS has produced about 2 500 newsreels. They depict all the most significant events of life in the Republic of Latvia - from the elections of the communistic government on July 14, 1940, till the adoption of the Declaration of the State Independence in 1991. RDFS is experienced in producing educational films, especially on history of Latvia. Some of them were made in co-production with Western companies. The most remarkable films were produced for British Universities Film & Video Council and French TV company FR-3. The last one has used a considerable amount of archival footage. Therefore RDFS has a great experience of archival research and something more – its own film archive (more than 1 500 titles) which is entered in the MIP-TV Guide.

The Riga Film Museum, which opened its doors in 1988, has changed its legal status several times over the years. Since 1996, the museum is a state-financed institution under the Ministry of Culture of Latvia. The mission of the Riga Film Museum is to collect, store, systematise, study and popularise information relevant to Latvian national film.

Rocade is a non-profit organization based in Montréal dedicated to the preparation of a wide range of cultural events. Rocade organizes the Romanian Film Festival and EUROfEst - East European Film Festival.

The film commission foundation of Rome, the provinces and Lazio was founded on February 5, 2007, encompassing the Lazio Region, the Municipality of Rome, the Province of Rome, the Province of Frosinone, the Province of Rieti and the Province of Viterbo, to replace the previous Lazio organizations, the Rome Film Commission and the Lazio Film Commission. The goal of the new organization is to encourage national and foreign film and audiovisual producers to invest and produce in Rome and the region, to promote the image of Rome and Lazio in the region, to publicize its natural and cultural heritage and to encourage increased competition throughout the area.

The Romanian Film Promotion (APFR) was established in 2003 under the name of Film Association XXI with the objectives of supporting young filmmakers, promoting European values and shaping up a new generation of viewers. The main activities of APFR include: 1/ Information: The catalogue of Romanian films and a website (www.romfilmpromotion.ro, with the future intent of a newsletter) inform about the current state of Romanian Film Industry. 2/ Promotion: The APFR organizes a Romanian booth at important film markets and festivals. Moreover, the "Shooting Romania" Brochure aims at promoting Romania as an excellent film location. 3/ The GOPO Awards: Since spring 2007, APFR organizes the annual Gopo Awards, awarded to Romanian films. 4/ Distribution: The APFR also supported the setting up of Transilvania Film, a film, video and TV distribution company for a series of select art house titles.

The Institute has an active Film Committee and RAI festivals of ethnographic film are regular events; there are more than 250 ethnographic video and DVD titles available by mail order; RAI's extensive Film and Video Library is open to users in the UK; full electronic versions of RAI's film catalogues are also available online; the Institute awards biennial film prizes of international standing.
