Java Films is one of Europe’s leading independent distributors specialising only in documentaries and current affairs. Founded in 2005, we have expanded rapidly to secure contracts for award-winning programmes like ‘Envoye Special’ and ’30 Minutes’ and open a seperate office in Barcelona. Our documentaries have been selected for prestigious festivals like IDFA, Sundance, HotDocs and Thessaloniki and won awards like the Prix Albert Londres Award, the Sony Impact Award and the Jury Special Prize (FIPA). To promote our films effectively, we attend an average of 20 markets and festivals a year, including IDFA, MIPDOC, Docs Barcelona, Sunny Side, Medimed and Sheffield. We have output deals with channels in Latin America and Europe and are also involved in co-productions and pre-sales.

JMT Films is buying and selling to TV Channels, markets and promotes films to film festivals and markets, and sells films to Educational/Academic Market. JMT Films is participating in international film festivals and major film & television markets, such as IDFA, Berlinale, Hot Docs, MIPTV, Sunny Side of the Doc, Latin Side of the Doc, Bolivia Lab, Docs in Thessaloniki, DOK Leipzig and Visions du Réel. JMT Films meets in those events with Independent Producers from all over the world to discuss about potential projects & completed programs.

Founded at the beginning of the 90s, Kamel Film grew out of the experience of author, screen writer and director Roberto Quagliano. From the first the company earned a reputation for innovative products and new techniques. Kamel Film in fact launched video journalism in Italy with the ground breaking news programme 'Professione reporter' (now 'Report' on RAI3). Kamel film has continued to work with both the RAI (the Italy state broadcaster) and Mediaset in the creation and realization of programmes which vary greatly in content and format, among them the reality television programmes 'L'ospedale in diretta' ('Hospital Live'), 'La scuola in diretta' ('School Live') and the documentary-soap 'In crociera' ('On a cruise') which were among the first programmes of their kind, not only in Italy but world wide. However, the activities of Kamel Film are not limited to television: it has made full length feature films, among which 'L'alba di Luca' (2002) and 'Fratelli d'Italia' (2006) and has just produced three films for a cinematographic project for teenagers called 'Get Out'.
