Founded in 1986, Cinekid Festival is an annual Film, Television and New Media Festival for Children. Every year during the autumn break more than 30,000 children are given an opportunity to attend one or more of the 200 media productions that Cinekid presents: feature films, children’s documentaries, short films, animations, TV series and single plays, cross-media productions, interactive installations and set-ups and workshops. The main festival is held in Amsterdam, but approximately 30 satellite festivals are held in cities all over the Netherlands.

The festival Bra International Short Film Festival is dedicated to European short films - fiction, documentary and animated films of up to 30 minutes running time. The programme features approx. 100 short films in competition and almost twenty other films that are screened out of competition.
