Mediefabrikken is a resource centre for filmmakers in southeast Norway. Mediefabrikken has for the past 20 years produced film on commission, as well as short fiction films and documentaries. Short films produced by Mediefabrikken have been recognized at domestic and international film festivals. The target areas are: scriptwriting and script development courses in cooperation with the industry; development of short films and documentary projects with roots in the southeast region of Norway; professional courses; production of films by young filmmakers from the region; promotion and presentation of young cinema.

For 130 years, Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME) has been a foundation for future-oriented thinking. One of the first to be established in Europe, this intellectual workshop undertook and fulfilled the task of visualizing and developing object, image and spatial design as well as fostering visual culture, an important medium and tool in shaping the quality of human existence. MOME views itself as a place where thought, creation and action, artistic and scientific articulation, dialogue and critical expression are natural demands. It emphasizes the importance of preserving tradition, cultivating artistic areas developed in the past as well as developing design-based and visual artistic thinking.

The Netherlands Media Art Institute, Montevideo/Time Based Arts has set the goal for itself of promoting the wide development, application and distribution of, and reflection on new technologies in the visual arts. The Netherlands Media Art Institute supports media art in three core areas: presentation, research and conservation, and through its facilities provides extensive services for artists and art institutions. Associated with this are educational programmes, which are developed for all activities and which are designed for various target audiences, including the general public, secondary schools, professional art training and specialists such as artists, art historians and curators. The programme comprises among others workshops, expert meetings, awards, lectures, symposia, etc.

The National Academy for Theatre & Film Arts (NATFA) is Bulgaria’s premier tertiary school and one of the top training European institutions in the fields of Stage and Screen Arts. It was founded in 1948 and remains the only state-funded such educational institution in the country. It is located in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria. The population of Sofia is about 1,5 million; it is a busy city with a long history, a colourful mixture of antiquity and modernity. The climate is considered moderate. Traveling around the city and the region is easy and there are lots of exciting places to see.

The National Film and Television School (NFTS) was founded in 1971. Today, the NFTS has some 160 full-time students, another two dozen part-timers on the Script Development course and around a thousand a year on its short courses. The only UK film school with its own film and television studios, and post-production facilities rivalling those of professional companies, its talented community of students makes around a hundred films a year on courses that are still over 90% practical and unlike anything offered at any other UK film school.

The National Film School of Denmark is a state school, financially supported by the Danish Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The school was founded in 1966 by Theodor Christensen and is beautifully situated on the small island of Frederiksholm in the harbour of Copenhagen. There are four study programmes available: film, TV, scriptwriting and animation directing. The number of students is 96: 60 film students, 6 scriptwriters, 18 TV students and 12 animation directors. All lines of study are 4-year programmes, except the scriptwriting course that lasts 3 years. In order to be admitted to the National Film School of Denmark, the candidate must be able to speak and understand Danish.

Established in 1993, the NPA is a national membership organisation and registered charity dedicated to providing essential training and networking opportunities for filmmakers. Led by industry professionals, the NPA assists independent filmmakers in developing their skills, contacts and creativity in line with working industry practices.

School of Film and Acting. The school holds One-Year and short-term programs throughout the year in these locations: in the facilities in New York, at Universal Studios in Los Angeles and King‘s College in London, England, and at a number of additional locations. The New York Film Academy was designed for a new generation of filmmakers, screenwriters, actors, producers and animators who share a passion for motion pictures and want to learn by making their own projects in a hands-on, intensive program.

Founded over 35 years ago, Tisch School of the Arts is one of the nation's leading centers for professional training, scholarship and research in the performing and media arts. Tisch provides young artists and scholars with a humanistic education, rigorous preparation in their discipline, and invaluable opportunities to pursue their artistic development - Maurice Kanbar of Film and Television; Institute of Performing Arts; Skirball Center for New Media; Clive Davis Department of Recorder Music.

The Netherlands Film and Television Academy (NFTA) is founded in 1958. The academy is the only recognised institute in the Netherlands that offers training to prepare for the work in the various crew disciplines. The NFTA differs from other audiovisual courses in that it trains specialists to make productions in a team. Specialisation is possible in fiction directing, documentary directing, screen writing, editing, producing, sounddesign, cinematography, production design, and interactive multimedia/visual effects.

Offers courses, seminars and study programmes in a wide range of audiovisual specializations: film and TV directing, documentary directing, acting, production, editing, cinematography, etc.

Palacký University, Olomouc was re-established by the Act of the Interim National Assembly, passed on February 21, 1946. It followed up with the tradition of the old Olomouc university, which was established in 1573 and closed in 1860. Therefore the Olomouc University can justly be considered the second oldest university in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. At present the Palacký University, Olomouc is formed by eight faculties: St. Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Medicine, Philosophical Faculty, Pedagogical Faculty, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Physical Culture, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Health Sciences. Approximate number of students is 21 000.

The National Film School (Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Filmowa Telewizyjna i Teatralna Łódż) was founded in Lodz in 1948. From the start there were two distinct departments within the school: Film Directing and Cinematography. Initially the tuition programme was limited to small, simple group productions, but soon films headed by individual students began to emerge - shot always on the professional standard 35 mm format. Amongst the first students were directors: Andrzej Munk, Andrzej Wajda, Janusz Morgenstern, who at the end of the fifties became famous as the founders of the Polish School in film, and cinematographers such as Jerzy Wojcik, Witold Sobocinski, Mieczysław Jahoda ,Wiesław Zdort, Adam Holender did the same in the field of cinematography. The teaching programme has always consisted of two parts: theoretical, technological and practical, consisting of excercises and films made by both directors and camera students.

Prague Film School offers courses in English. The school's accelerated programs, its international faculty, its location in Prague and its talent-rich student body all contribute to this recognition. The school's mandate with the Czech Ministry of Education is to provide professional-level training and we are dedicated to developing not only informed auteurs, but crew and post production professionals.
