Concorto is a Short Film Festival that takes place in Pontenure (Piacenza), in northern Italy. It was established with the aim to promote, research, enhance the expressive and artistic form of short film, facilitate the exchange and comparison of experience among filmmakers and to give more visibility to independent authors and directors.

ContraVision is an international festival of independent short films. The purpose of the festival is to refocus the public attention on the independent short film that is produced off the beaten track of mainstream cinema and therefore is often excluded from the commercial cinema circuits. The festival accepts short films (max. 30 minutes) in any genre.

Cortopotere Short Film Festival is a festival entirely dedicated to short films taking place in Bergamo (Italy). The short films from all over the worldcan compete in 4 categories – fiction, documentary, animation and experimental.

Cosmic Zoom Film Festival is Denmark's only film festival focusing exclusively on short and animated films. The festival was founded in 2001. The festival wants to provide an opportunity for film artists who have not yet made themselves known, to present their works both to audiences and professionals. The Cosmic Zoom competition reveals the dynamic developments that take place below the surface of conventional filmmaking. Rather than demanding a very high technical and professional quality of the film material, the festival promotes creativity, talent or courage. The duration of the short/animated film must not exceed 20min.

The festival is open to all types of films: short, medium and full-length features dealing with air, wind and flight; films about aerial sports such as paragliding and hang gliding, sky diving, hot-air balloons, human-powered aircraft, sail planes, bungy jumping, base jumping, kites, boomerangs, paramotors and ultralight motorized gliders, aerial acrobatics, etc; films on birds or related species.

CPH:DOX - Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival - is the largest documentary film festival in Northern Europe with an internationally recognized programme profile that borders on performance, fiction and visual art. Each year the festival fills the Copenhagen cinemas with a selection of more than 180 documentary films from around the world. During the eleven festival days, CPH:DOX also hosts an extensive industry platform consisting of the three-day financing and co-production event, CPH:FORUM, featuring the CPH:MARKET and a line of professionals seminars, masterclasses, and social networking events. The international production workshop DOX:LAB commisions around 10 films every year, directed by selected filmmakers in teams of two.

The aim of Copenhagen International Film Festival (CIFF) is to nurture and follow up on the recent success of Danish cinema by securing a constant flow of new ideas and initiatives. The Festival strives to have a strong European as well as an international profile featuring a main competition of European feature films and an international jury. CIFF is collaborating with local distributors and cinemas in an effort to keep the Danish cinema audience curious to explore a broader selection of films and thus securing the future of a large variety of European and World cinema in Danish cinemas. Copenhagen Screenings, a two-day film market, runs concurrently with the festival and gathers international film buyers and festival programmers from all over Europe for premiere screenings of over 10 brand new Danish films, long documentaries and works-in-progress of the previous year.

The festival programme offers a number of sections that include films of various categories - short films, films for children and youth, a selection of feature films that fit into the genre of the film noir and other events, e.g. a poster exhibition, workshops for children, etc.

The festival is open to all foreign and Croatian film/video makers older than 16 who are allowed to send an unlimited number of entries. The length of videos must not be longer than 60 seconds (including all titles and sound).

The festival was founded in 2001 by a group of young artists in order to energize the film culture in Moldova, to discover new aspects of documentary film, and to draw local audiences to the genre.

CROSSING EUROPE is a festival that presents to international branch and press guests and the local cinema audience over 150 hand-picked feature films, documentaries and short films every year.

crosstalk video art festival is an annual video art exhibition, which seeks to rise the awareness of people for video as an art form.

The first festival in Vila de Conde was held in 1993. The festival focuses its attention on transformation and change while keeping an eye on everything that happens in the field of cinema. This is why not only the programming philosophy is regularly changed so that it can keep up with emerging trends within the arts and the progress in cinematic and video languages, but there has also been a move towards visual arts from which more and more artists emerge with new work to be shown in this festival. The festival is built around the Portuguese and international short film competitions. There are also other sections such as Work in Progress - directors who are connected with previous festivals; and Take One! - a young generation of film students showcases outstanding short films. Joining these sections there is the brand new Remixed, a programme that promotes the interaction between visual, audiovisual and musical creations. The festival also organizes a short film market.

The competition at the Bucharest International Film Festival includes two categories: short fiction / animation and documentary. Fiction films must not exceed a length of 30 minutes. Documentary films must not exceed a length of 50 minutes. Films presented during the Festival must be based on original screenplays.

DFA's Festival is the oldest dance film festival in the world that sparked a global explosion of activity. Co-sponsored by the Film Society of Lincoln Center since 1996, DOCF celebrates the immediacy, energy, and mystery of dance as combined with the intimacy of film. What we are looking for: We seek strong synergies of dance and film, whether it be a dance made for the camera, documentary, adaptation of a stage work or site specific creation. We also welcome animation, narratives, and works in which the kinetic energy and rhythmic design comes solely from the editor or lighting designer. Dance films can be driven from the prime perspective of dance, cinema, visual arts, or in the case of documentaries, information. Our host venue prefers to present only New York Premieres.

The festival is a non-competitive event that presents approx. fifteen feature films from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, a number of documentary films from the three countries and a variety of other cultural and music events. The project aims to increase the general awareness about cinematic culture outside the Czech borders, and to supply the links that are still missing within the Czech cultural context.

The festival screens feature films from current and future EU countries at various cinemas across Prague, Brno and Olomouc.
