dokumentART Festival is a competitive event and focuses on documentary films by European filmmakers. The main Competition is supplemented by a closer look at the documentary film of Eastern Europe. Besides the competitive programme, dokumentARTalso offers workshops, lectures and special screenings.

The Finnish Documentary Guild was founded in 1996. The organization is a national forum for all professionals, students, producers and critics associated with documentary films. It also serves as an intermediary group between the European Documentary Network (EDN) and the Finnish documentary filmmakers. The Finnish Documentary Guild organizes meetings, seminars, screenings, debates, excursions, workshops, training, etc. Currently there are approx. 200 members in the Guild.

Civic association „Docs, Youth & Society, c.a.“ was founded in October 2006 and has been following the activities of the company Sunfilm Productions s.r.o. Its activities since 2006 are these: 1. Distribution of the project „Lost Neighbours – Teen Cameras Search for Traces of Jewish Fellow-Citizens“ 2. Production of the audio-visual project „Daughters of the Enemy“, one part of this project are the Audiovisual Testimonies of the Daughters 3. Development of the feature-length documentary „Schkola Without Borders“ about the common everyday life of Czech, German and Polish children (supported by EU, the Media Programme).

Institute of Documentary Film provides the interactive "www.DOKweb.net" web portal which supports the exchange of information regarding documentaries in Central and Eastern Europe. The daily updated site, edited in Czech and English, provides an information service for filmmakers, audience and journalists. DOKweb.net is a comprehensive source of information on East European documentary industry with details on more than 9.000 documentary films and projects, over 10.000 contacts, daily news, interview, video content and trailers.

DokWerkstatt Bern was founded in 2001 for the support and promotion of documentary film. DokWerkstatt Bern organizes courses and workshop in the field of documentary film: directing, cinematography, sound, editing, etc.

A company DOMfilm was set up by a film director Zdenek N. Brickovsky. Primarily we work on realization of documentary films about the life and culture of small nations living in less-known areas of Eastern Europe and Asia - their understanding of the world, religion, rituals, traditions, music…. We also address similar themes of the Czech culture. Most of the films were made in co-production with Czech Television. In 2000 we did a six-piece series of an hour musical documentaries "FROM ELSEWHERE" - WORLD MUSIC IN Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. In 2002 a loose trilogy VOLGA was made - films about nations living on this sacred river - Maris, Tartars and Kalmyks. Since 2003 DÓMfilm has been working on an independent third-piece project from the Republic of Komi /the north of Russia/.

The San Sebastián International Film Festival (Spanish: Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián; Basque: Donostiako Zinemaldia) is an annual film festival which originated in 1953 and is held in the Spanish city of San Sebastián (officially Donostia-San Sebastián). Although the festival was originally intended to honour Spanish language films, films of other languages became eligible for consideration in the late 1950s. The majority of awards are determined by a jury, but an audience award is also given for the most popular film. The main awards are the Golden Shell and Silver Shell. Every year the festival honours one, two or three actors with the Donostia Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Donostia-San Sebastián Horror and Fantasy Film Festival is an international festival. It accepts feature and short (max. 30 minutes) films on the subject of horror or fantasy. A special section is dedicated to Spanish short films. Exhibitions and retrospective programmes focusing on important filmmakers in this field are also part of the festival. Jury and audience prizes are awarding to best films in all categories.

DOORS Art Foundation is a non-profit art foundation founded in January 2004 in New York City. Its main goal is to create cross-cultural dialog between Croatia and the US as a vital step in the affirmation of the Croatian cultural heritage worldwide. DOORS Art Foundation hopes that bringing Croatian literature, visual arts, music and other forms of cultural expression to American audiences will foster a deeper understanding of the range of the past and present accomplishments in Croatian art, and that this exchange will create a further impetus for artistic creativity and a renewed interest in the work of contemporary and future Croatian artists.

The first Festival of music documentaries in our region (former Yugoslavia) took place in 2007. With this project we are forging international connections with other countries and promoting new ideas and movies. In addition to screenings, we have a complimentary programme of photo- and painting-exhibitions, workshops, concerts and book promotions. Documentary movies are now at their commercial and artistic peak and we are delighted to promote many great movies from this genre. Usually we combine regional productions with the best in international work. We also have as our raison d'etre touring to other countries and cities in this region - in 4 years we have been to 44 cities in 4 countries and presented highlights from our festival.
