The Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival presents documentary or fiction films that focus on any aspect of mountain life and culture, wilderness and adventure, with a special focus on all forms of climbing (particularly deep water soloing and big mountain climbing in the greater ranges), snowboarding, skiing, snowblading, mountain biking, BASE jumping, kayaking, surfing, BMX-ing, canoeing, atd. All films selected for screening are automatically entered into the competition for the 'Best Film Award'.

The Edinburgh Pitch is open to all filmmakers based in the UK and abroad, and particularly aims at independent filmmakers with a feature documentary project who are trying to get into the international scene. The Edinburgh Pitch is the only international documentary pitching forum in Scotland, it runs alongside the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Every year eDIT brings together international professionals to discuss their best work in detail and deal with the issues of film in the digital age in presentations, workshops and panels. From preproduction to postproduction, animation and visual effects for the cinema, TV and advertising, to the latest techniques and the most recent concepts. eDIT:eDucation is a free service for young people interested in finding out about getting into the film and media industry, and what its working practices and career chances are like. Professionals from various backgrounds introduce and explain their work. eDward VI is the eDIT film competition for young talent under 30. The festival also honours outstanding film personalities.

EDIT is a non-profit, non-competitive festival that promotes the art of dance. The festival is looking for films that are choreographies for the camera, and it is also interested in experimental films based on the relationship between movement and the moving image.

EDIT Studio, Ltd. was founded in 2003 as a trade business. In 2011 the company changed the form of a limited liability company. EDIT Studio is starting a company that has in its portfolio as custom films and present the film "The whole world is a narrow bridge" is the first completed full-length documentaries. This new thematic pitching format is based on an online video conference, where a selected number documentary projects are introduced. At the EDN Online Pitching four documentary projects are pitched to a group of leading international financiers and decision makers. Each session will have a specific focus like science, history or cross platform. The pitching takes place online in the EDN Video Conference Room and each session lasts one hour.

EDOKO INSTITUTE Vienna was founded in 2004 by the artist/filmmaker Edgar Honetschläger. Our task is to produce films, realize public art projects, seek synergies between science and film and the fine arts against the background of promoting intellectual exchange between Austria/Europe and Japan.

The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), located in Brussels, started work on 1 January 2006. Its mission is to implement certain strands of programmes and actions funded by the Community in the areas of: - education and training (Lifelong Learning, Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Bilateral Co-operation with Industrialised Countries), - audiovisual (Media), - culture (Culture), - active citizenship (Europe for Citizens), - youth (Youth in Action). Bringing these programmes together under the same roof enables coordinated management and the provision of a full service to programme beneficiaries. The mandate of the Agency includes the Eurydice network, which is responsible for the collection, analysis and dissemination of information on education systems. While the Agency has its own legal identity, it operates under the supervision of three Commission directorates-general: Education and Culture (EAC), the EuropeAid Cooperation Office (AIDCO) and Communication (COMM) , which remain responsible for programming, evaluation and for policy elaboration. The Agency is responsible for most aspects of programme management, including the drafting of calls for proposals, project selection, signature of project agreements, financial management, project monitoring (interim and final reports), communicating with beneficiaries and on-site project inspections. The strands managed by the Agency are all centralised and support technical projects, and in no way involve making political decisions.

EEFilms - Ekaterina Eremenko Films. Ekaterina Eremenko was making documentaries as the author-director for leading european TV channels as BBC, ARTE, ZDF etc. Her films were awarded at various different international film festivals. Since 2011 she is producer.

The European Film Companies Alliance (EFCA), founded in Brussels in September 1995, is a non-profit organisation with a scientific and artistic purpose. It aims to bring together European entrepreneurs active in film production and distribution. It is an essential platform for information exchanges and business networking. EFCA considers that the following key issues are central to its mission: to promote European cinema within Europe and in third countries; to encourage a sustainable and competitive European film industry; to facilitate and improve access to EU grants and capital for the sector; to prepare for the emergence of the digital market place; to stimulate European co-production; to liaise with film bodies, associations, film professionals and European authorities; to raise awareness to the key issues at stake in the European film industry; to function as a network for exchanges and co-operation.
