Emote Productions was established in 2002 primarily as a motion film production house. The company has since developed into a full scale facility which also produces music videos, photography and commercials. Emote has also developed a formidable reputation for fostering a strong community of directors and creative talent in the audiovisual domain. The company is currently completing its first international feature film, The Belgrade Phantom, a Serbian - Hungarian - Bulgarian co production financed by Eurimages and the Jan Vrijman Film Fund.

The Secretariat General of Communication - Secretariat General of Information, in collaboration with the Greek Film Centre and within the framework of the annual international conference "People with Disabilities and Mass Media" is establishing an annual International Documentary Festival in Athens with documentary films focusing exclusively on issues of disability. The Festival's aim is to promote the further awareness, acceptance and integration of disabled people and to encourage film-makers, disabled or not, to take an active interest in this area and address the widest possible public. The Jury will award the following 7 prizes, among others, First Prize for Best Documentary Film; Second Prize for Best Documentary Film; Prize for originality and innovative direction; Prize for technical and artistic merit; Special Jury Prize. All prizes carry a cash award of 7,000 euros, which will be equally shared by producer and director.

Emotionfilm was founded by Danijel Hočevar and Damjan Kozole in 1986 as film production of ŠKUC (Student culture organisation) in Ljubljana. It was one of the first independent film productions in Slovenia and ex Yugoslavia. Since 1991 Emotionfilm is independend production in beggining as limited company and now as culture institution. The Energy Film Festival Lausanne is a biennial event that first took place in 1986. It is the only international film festival that brings together all forms of energy (electricity, gas, biogas, petroleum, renewable energies, biomass, nuclear energy, etc). Engram Film an independent production and distribution company was founded in 1995 with the aim of creating quality films and television productions. The firm wishes to focus on creative thought and originality of form and is open to all topics and genres. In setting up a project a great deal of emphasis is placed on international co-production.
