Founded in November 1996, Film-Philosophy is an international academic journal dedicated to philosophically reviewing film studies, philosophical aesthetics, and world cinema. The email salon encourages discussion of related topics. The journal is published three times per year and is fully peer-reviewed.

Film & Kino is the main organization for the cinema and video industries in Norway. It was established in 1917. In Norway most cinemas are owned by the municipalities. Film & Kino is a member organization for these municipalities, looking after their interests concerning film, the running of cinemas and video activities. Membership is open to all municipalities. At the moment, it has 149 municipalities as registered members. Film & Kino also administers the Norwegian Cinema and Film Foundation, which was established in 1970. Norwegian law instructs this foundation to charge a certain percentage of cinema ticket sales as well as a levy on video sales and rentals. The Film & Medienbüro Niedersachsen e.V. (FMB) was founded in Osnabrück in 1986 as an organization co-ordinating and representing the interests of both film-makers in the province of Niedersachsen as well as people employed in the cultural media sector. Its goal is the improvement of the production infrastructure and conditions and the expansion of opportunties to screen these works in the region and worldwide.

The production company Film & Sociology was established in 1991. It has made more than 150 documentary films directed by leading Czech documentary filmmakers, such as Helena Třeštíková, Miroslav Janek, Pavel Štingl, Věra Chytilová, Viliam Poltikovič, and Pavel Koutecký. Citizen Havel is among the recent documentary films produced by AFIS.

Festival Film and History was founded in 2002. It takes place in Vysočina region, Czech Republic.

One of the longest published scholarly film magazine in Czech Republic, that brings studies on Czech and international cinema, papers on film theory, film analyses, reviews and festival reports. Film Academy in Pisek (FAP) is private art college with the Bachelor study programme. FA continues a tradition of the film education. FA follows the film school in Cimelice (region in the Czech Republic) and the film and television faculty of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Prague. Most importantly, it follows work that the Private Higher School of Film in Pisek started 10 years ago. Study programme at four departments of the Film Academy in Pisek gives an opportunity to learn more on audiovisual and production works, and to be acquainted by information and techniques in the field. The main aim of the study is to broaden knowledge, skills and understanding of professional and scientific work, deepening imagination, esthetical, drama, and cultural sensation. The study programmes are following: A) Picture, Editing and Sound in AV works, B) Organisation and AV Production Kontrol, C) Audiovisual Production (AV), D) Animation production.

Established in July 2006, the Film Agency for Wales is the sole Agency for film in Wales, with a remit to ensure that the economic, cultural and educational aspects of film are effectively represented in Wales, the UK and the world. As a strategic agency, the Film Agency aims to facilitate the emergence of a viable and sustainable Welsh film industry and to promote a vibrant and dynamic film culture. The agency supports the development, production, exhibition and distribution of feature and full-length documentary films.

The prehistory of the Film Studies at the Masaryk University reaches back to the period right after 1945. The institutional foundations of the department, however, were not laid until after November 1989, when the Department of Theatre and Film Studies at the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University was established. The subject of Film Studies, or Theory and History of Film and Audiovisual Culture – which is the name under which the department was accredited in 2001, has been independently studied since 1993. Currently, it offers B.A. (3 years), supplementary M.A. (2 years) and Ph.D. (4 years) study programs. Generally, the study program is defined by three major fields of study: history of the Czech cinema, history of the world cinema and theory and history of cinema, television, new media and audiovisual culture. It also provides courses in critical writing, film and TV dramaturgy and screenwriting.

The Film and Television Academy was established in 1991 by a renown film director and cameraman, Roman Wionczek. It is a post-secondary art school which runs a 2-year programme and which is listed in the Register of Non-Public Art Schools of the Ministry of Culture. The study programme offers following specialisations: film director, screenwriter, cameraman and sound director, film editor, cinema and television film production manager. Currently, the school programme lasts two years (four semesters) but is in the process of transforming it’s structure into an arts school of higher education.

The Film Archive Forum represents all of the public sector film and television archives which care for the UK's moving image heritage. It represents the UK's public sector moving image archives in all archival aspects of the moving image, and acts as the advisory body on national moving image archive policy.

Activities of the Film Archive include special storage, maintenance, preservation and restoration of films and audiovisual material of Slovak production, and in accordance with regulations of the International Federation of Film Archives FIAF , it also restores a selection of significant films of foreign origin. The Archive is administered by the SFI as a significant part of the Slovak cultural heritage and state-protected national property. The materials owned by and collected in the Archive can be lend to film professionals and educational establishments according to the Lending Rules.
