Before it became dedicated to documentaries, during the past years Horopter Film Production has been involved in several fiction film productions, commissioned and nonprofit projects. In 2009/2010, Horopter produced a thematic documentary “Dumbfounded Hog” and a commissioned documentary “Living out of Sight”.Since 2010/2011 Horopter has been engaged in three projects: “Unplugged” (Mladen Kovacevic’s debut feature documentary, currently in post production), a commissioned documentary “Penny is not Petty!” (completed), and “The Wall of Death, and All That” (feature documentary, in production).

You will scout locations, break down a feature film script, create a production board, shooting schedule, “day-out-of-days,” and film budget. Over the course of 3 intensive days, you'll be taught by Tom Kane, a highly successful film producer, who has 30 years experience in the "business" and over 50 feature and television films and TV series to his credit.

The Film Programmes has been established with a view to creating a unique space for the following activities: screening, lecturing, workshops, lending, distribution, publishing and promotion including exhibitions connected with the film culture. It is likewise envisaged as a place where one can see both classic as well as contemporary world films, find film literature, connect with the world and promote Croatian cinematography. The distribution of Film Center programs throughout Croatia and especially University centers has also been planned.

Film Republic is a new world sales and production company, specialising in independent, edgy and alternative feature fiction and documentary films. Film Republic was launched in Rotterdam in 2012, and has built a slate of both newcomer talent as well as international festival hits whilst also developing a number of documentary and indie titles.

The Film School Zlin was founded by czech Oscar winning director Elmar Klos in 1992 to educate young people in all aspects of film, video, radio and audio production. School provides students an ideal opportunity to work in different creative teams, in order to enhance their education and experience in all the basic disciplines necessary for creation of audio-visual works. Every year, the festival organizers welcome students of various film departments, prominent film theoreticians and filmmakers themselves but mainly the general public, offering them great film experience. The Film Sokolov tries to avoid the stereotypes of film clubs and concentrates on showing and discussing films that often represent a revelation to the Czech audience. Professionals but also the general public appreciate the unique dramaturgy. Not to mention the free entry, which certainly helps to gain the popularity of the general audiences.

Film Sprout is a boutique distribution and outreach firm whose aim is to help filmmakers broaden the audience and impact of documentary through public screening events; strategic communication with audiences and stakeholders; and engagement initiatives that translate the viewer experience into on-the-ground action. Combining the goals of independent film distribution with the aims of advocacy, Film Sprout helps documentary filmmakers secure revenue, swell viewership, and spark change through film.

Having produced numerous films and reportages for Internationally established TV broadcasters and co-productions with independent film producers from Europe and outside, DEVIŅI has also positioned itself as a highly reliable partner for delivery of quality programming of almost any field of video.

Film Studio Everest was founded by Miroslaw Dembinski on 3rd September 91. Within the ten years of its existence it has produced 44 films and film series. Altogether over 40 hours of broadcast. The Studio deals with production and distribution of films and the range of its activity is very wide: documentary, reports, short fiction, promotion films and advertisement. The Film Studio Everest specializes in documentary films made for the television. It co-operates regularly with the Polish television TVP (the editorial office of documentary at First Channel and Second Channel, the editorial office of the Culture, the Educational Television and the editorial office of the Army Programmes), Canal+ Poland (documentary and short fiction film), and also with the Educational Film Producers, the Lodz Film Centre and Film School. Apart from the television, the productions are financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and social organizations and foundations. In 1995 the Film Studio Everest started an international co-production. It co-operate with the Centre Nationale de la Cinematographie (France), Epo Film (Austria), Shoot the Breeze Production (South Africa) and others. Films made by Film Studio Everest were broadcasted on TVP (Poland), Canal+ (Poland), Canal+ (France), BBC-South(England), ZDF (Germany), SDR (Germany), ORF (Austria), Slovak TV (Slovakia), LTV (Latvia), ETV (Estonia), BNT (Bulgaria), RTS (Serbia and Montenegro). Among the directors who work for the Film Studio Everest there are both experienced and recognized artists and film-school students. Miroslaw Dembinski conducts documentary film classes there and enables the most talented students to prepare their professional debuts in the Film Studio Everest.

FILM STUDIO GATTEO (FSG) is equipped with a complex of film stages and facilities for shooting feature films, television programmes, series, commercials and video clips in Prague. FILM STUDIO GATTEO was founded in 2004 and is located in Hostivar, Prague, 30 minutes from the city center. FSG offers a complete package of services: production, five stages with all facilities - fully equipped offices, make-up and dressing rooms, storage for costume and props, rehearsal room, club-restaurant, and a large car park. The studio has 5 stages and the biggest one is a newly constructed stage covering 800m2 with the height of 12m. We also provide complete set construction services for both interiors and exteriors locations. We manufacture our own props and have available the following: carpentry, upholstery, painting, calligraphy, and machine workshops. FSG offers full digital and sound postproduction service, these services are contracted by our internationally recognized postproduction partners. FSG aims to offer the best quality services to Czech and foreign producers. We also participate in co-productions of Czech and foreign film projects.

In the past fifteen years, we produced 7 features, 8 documentaries, 12 short films and over 200 TV commercials for the International and Hungarian market. Our films have won dozens of International Fest Awards, the FIPRESCI for example.

Film.sk is currently the only monthly on film events published in Slovakia. The aim of the editors of this pocket magazine is to provide information on all the activities and events taking place in our cinematography. The magazine is published by the first day of each month and is also available in its on-line version at www.filmsk.sk . It is sold in cinemas and film club box offices and in selected bookstores in Bratislava and several other Slovak cities (Nitra, Kosice, Presov, Bardejov, Dolny Kubin).
