The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

Filmkultura (Filmculture) is a periodical established in 1960. The last printed issue came out in 1995 (their 35th year) and since 1996 Filmkultura has been available on the Internet, in English and Hungarian. With Hungarian National Film Archive as its publisher, it provides readers with the latest information on the restoration and preservation of Hungarian films and the programe of the Archive´s cinema, Budapest´s film museum, the ÖrÖkmozgo (Perpetuum Mobile). A significant part is devoted to Hungarian film history, the traditions to be continued and the values to be preserved.

Filmme Fatale was founded in 2009 by Maja Uzelac, director, and Mirjana Tomic, producer, as a company dedicated to supporting talented filmmakers from the Balkans and to promoting contemporary Serbian art and culture. It’s aim is to gather authors, professionals and producers from the region and greater Europe in order to create a new and unique image of Balkan and European film. General Manager is Mirjana Tomic, the most relevant film experience is her last job – executive producer and line producer of the feature film Carlston za Ognjenku by Uros Stojanovic, (international title: Tears for Sale, Charleston & Vendetta), the most expensive and most demanding in terms of production Serbian film ever (2008. production: Blue Pen, world sale: EuropaCorp). Filmme Fatale, recognizable for fresh, brave, modern spirit currently has three on-going projects: feature film Blue Blood by Maja Uzelac (in preproduction), feature film “Children of the winter sun” by Antonio Mitrikeski, script Gordan Mihic – co producer and executive producer, preproduction (coproduction of Macedonia, Poland, Serbia) and feature documentary film Awakening by Irena Fabri, in postproduction. We are building partnerships that gives us possibility to offer the best professional and technical standards and to have a whole production process in in-house capacities. Filmme Fatale also has editing facilities and VFX studio.

Filmmuseum

The Filmmuseum is Holland's museum for cinematography. The museum's collection of films covers the whole of the history of cinema from the very first silent films, dating from the late 19th century, up to the latest contemporary digital productions. This internationally renowned collection, to which many Dutch and foreign titles are regularly added, is the source of inspiration for the museum's film programmes, exhibitions and events. Every year, there are major thematic programmes examining the history of film and contemporary cinematographic developments. In addition, the museum organises open-air screenings, festivals, theatrical family shows and retrospectives. The Filmmuseum houses the largest film library in the Netherlands. The museum also acts as distributor of classics and contemporary, independent films. The museum has a collection that includes 46,000 film titles, 35,000 posters and 450,000 photographs.
