Founded in 2004, Finnagora is one of the 17 culture and science institutes of Finland. Finnagora operates in the fields of culture exportation, education, science and economy. Extensive cooperation with our Finnish, Hungarian and international network with our deep knowledge of the Finnish culture and know-how form the basis of our operation. Finnagora was founded by the Finnagora foundation, which comprises of Finnish cities, universities, companies and civic organizations. Finnagora works in close cooperation with the Embassy of Finland and Finpro, as all of the three operate in the same premises. Finnagora is also member of EUNIC, the European Union National Institutes for Culture network. Culture Finnagora's activities in arts and culture concentrate on contemporary art, new forms of culture and innovative projects in different fields of art. Finnagora is a part of a Finnish cultural exportation network. Science and economy Finnagora operates as linkage with matters concerning science, economy and education and organizes expert visits and seminars. Finnagora disseminates business information and contacts.

The Finnish Film Foundation’s task is to support and develop Finnish film production, distribution and exhibition. The Finnish Film Foundation is an independent foundation which is supervised by the Department for Cultural Policy in the Ministry of Education. The Foundation is supported by grants from the Finnish National Lottery and by the Finnish Broadcasting Company, and it grants film production support, exhibition and distribution support and support for international activities. On the grounds of a contract made with the Ministry of Education, the Foundation grants support for international film festivals held in Finland which also have national significance. The Finnish Film Foundation is integrally responsible for the cultural export of Finnish film. It receives approx. EUR 8.7 million per year, and subsidizes about ten feature films and 35 short and documentary films every year.

FIPA was created in 1987 in order to encourage the development of a quality TV programming in the world. It is a leading audiovisual event and also the first international event presenting the greatest number of European programs. Thousands of professionals from all five continents have visited the festival since its establishment, and the 2005 edition welcomed more than 2300 professionals from 60 countries. The festival presents a wide range of dramas, series and serials, creative documentary films, reportages and current affairs, performing arts, short programs,special screenings, aspects of French production, aspects of French international coproduction, homages and audiovisual history.

The First Factual Films Festival (F4) is a screening program held during the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC). Co-presented by AIDC and the Media Resource Centre, F4 showcases first films from Australian documentary filmmakers at the start of their careers alongside the first films of legendary documentary masters attending the AIDC. Screening over three evenings at the Mercury Cinema, F4 concludes with the presentation of the F4 Award for Outstanding New Documentary Talent to one exceptional filmmaker. The F4 Award is judged by the F4 master filmmakers and a panel of high profile international documentary professionals. Each evening features the first film of a master documentarian alongside the films of several first filmmakers, contextualised by introductions and Q & A discussions around the documentaries and their makers.

First Floor Productions is a film production company operating in Helsinki. First Floor Productions collaborates also as a co-producer and production service provider in Finland. First Floor Productions has four feature films in development: Petri Kotwica’s Fleeing Dreams, , Peter Lindholm’s The White Reindeer – co-production with Petfilms, The Mermaid by Rane Tiukkanen and Deluge – Sands of Sarasvati by Aku Louhimies. Above that First Floor Productions has a feature-length documentary, Kaputt – Man With A Mission in preproduction to be shot during 2011.

The foundation works on establishing co-operation between TV companies of 25 countries and to form an interregional TV channel. The foundation was established in 1994.

Since 1998, Esther van Messel runs FHF in Zurich and Berlin for international distribution and production of documentaries, series, fiction films and transmedia. FHF acts as executive producer for selected projects and has worked with major broadcasters (like ABC, Arte, BBC, CH4, HBO, NHK, PBS, ZDF) and distributors (like Amazon, Salzgeber, Oscilloscope, Dogwoof, MUBI, iTunes) around the world. FHF is present at all major festivals around the year, with booths and stands at the main events such as the MIPs, La Rochelle, Sheffield, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires and Seoul. First Hand Films have competed in Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Rotterdam, Locarno, Pusan, Sundance, Tribeca, Toronto and many others. FHF’s very first pick-up went on to receive the Oscar® for Best Documentary Feature. Since then, most First Hand Films have won awards: Cinema for Peace, Emmy, Prix Europa, many of all IDFA main awards, Biarritz, Banff, Grimme-Preis, Grierson, Grand Prix Nyon, many National Film Awards, European Film Awards, Silver Leopards, Golden Rose Montreux a.m.o.

First Light Movies funds and inspires film projects with five to 18-year-olds throughout the UK. Since launching in 2001, First Light has enabled over 10,000 budding young filmmakres to write, act, shoot, light, direct and produce over 750 films. Working with filmmakers and organisations, First Light Movies films cover a diverse range of topics and genres, and make use of accessible digital film technology.

The FirstGlance Film Fest Hollywood was founded in 2000 with the aim of promoting independent filmmaking. The festival reports an 80% distribution success rate among features in the past two years. The festival also offers its own distribution option to winners through a partnership with Indiepix.
