Java Films is one of Europe’s leading independent distributors specialising only in documentaries and current affairs. Founded in 2005, we have expanded rapidly to secure contracts for award-winning programmes like ‘Envoye Special’ and ’30 Minutes’ and open a seperate office in Barcelona. Our documentaries have been selected for prestigious festivals like IDFA, Sundance, HotDocs and Thessaloniki and won awards like the Prix Albert Londres Award, the Sony Impact Award and the Jury Special Prize (FIPA). To promote our films effectively, we attend an average of 20 markets and festivals a year, including IDFA, MIPDOC, Docs Barcelona, Sunny Side, Medimed and Sheffield. We have output deals with channels in Latin America and Europe and are also involved in co-productions and pre-sales.

Jihlava IDFF is the largest festival of creative documentary films in Central and Eastern Europe. In its three competitions, the Festival awards remarkable Czech as well as international documentary films, offers screenings dedicated to experimental film and organizes a host of industry events for film professionals. The central symbol of the Jihlava Festival is a funnel, that becomes a metaphor for perception and for bringing alive one's thinking which is how the organisers intend the festival to work. This attitude is reflected in the festival's central motto: Thinking through Film! Through selected works of cinema, the festival tries to capture the diverse contemporary openness of thinking and the variety of creative approaches - from strictly traditional to maverick experiments.

The production company JMB Film &TV Production was established in August 1991 in Prague and in March followed the foundation of the company JMB Film &TV Production in Bratislava. During the last years, JMB Bratislava has placed its focus mainly on the development and production of audiovisual projects in the field of fiction feature and documentary film, television projects and programmes, non-profit projects for charity purposes. It also provides services to production companies abroad.

Joiningthedocs.tv is a pay per view documentary channel offering director-led films, via video streaming. Using embedding technology the films can be embedded on any website generating affiliate fee's for the host. Producers are paid a guaranteed fee each time a customer pays to watch their film. Joiningthedocs.tv is actively acquiring non-exclusive online rights for a range of documentary genres from both producers and distributors.

TV Joj is a cable television operated by the Mag Media Inc., which commenced its activities in March 2002 as the only and exclusive media representative of the commercial Joj TV station.
