kino5 - platform for independent filmmakers Every month Kino5 offers young and independent filmmakers the opportunity to project their films on screen. At these screenings, filmmakers, DOPs, musicians, sound engineers and the audience meet to exchange ideas and start new projects... Once a year they host KinoDynamique: Austrian and international filmmakers meet in Vienna to produce and project short films within 60 hours. Throughout the year Kino5 organises workshops and air a 30-minute TV show on Okto. kino5 is part of the international "Kino" movement with its origin in Montreal/Canada (www.kino00.com) and Austrian representative of the European NISI MASA - network.

The showcase is organized by cultural centre Stanica, the Spots project and cinema Biograf.

kino5 Vienna and FILM e.V. Jena would like to invite you to the first KinoKabaret (=KinoDynamique) in Jena, Germany. The theme will be `Global Dimensions´. And the slogan is `Do well with nothing, do better with little, but do it right now´ There will be three sessions of 60 hours each, with screenings on the 26th and 29th of September and on the 2nd of October. After the last screening on 2nd October there will be a final public event, which is planned to be a common ground, open for discussions among the filmmakers, the organisers and the audience.

KINOTEATR.DOC project unites young generation of Russian filmmakers and presents cinema that truly expresses today’s life, opens new heroes and new topics. In our opinion, “new naturalism”, as critics sometimes call direction chosen by us, should return sight its objectivity and emotions their sincerity. KINOTEATR.DOC is one of the largest independent documentary and feature film festivals in Russia and the only one in Moscow. It is held annually in February.
