The Ministry of Culture is the governmental body responsible for cultural heritage and the Arts in Greece. Its decentralized departments (Museums, Ephorates of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities, Ephorates of Byzantine Antiquities and Ephorates of Recent Monuments) are spread throughout Greece while its administrative departments are situated in Athens.

The Association was established in 1931 and organizes the work of alternative, non-professional, independent and experimental filmmakers and video artists in Hungary. They also organize regional, national, thematic and generation film weeks and festivals, as well as artist creative camps. The Association helps to promote Hungarian motion picture education and teachers´training with different courses and training programs.

The Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute strives to provide cultural opportunities, entertainment, and cinematic education to increasingly wider audiences through quality documentaries on a variety of topics and themes. It is also a goal of the HSDFI to provide a venue for new and established documentarians from across the nation and abroad, and to provide support for other community and cultural organizations through film programming and other educational outreach efforts.

The organization has been working since 1995 as the professional representative of Hungarian film directors. It organizes film related events and established the Jolan Arvai Award.

The Hungarian Federation of Film Societies was organized in 1968 as a joint initiative between film clubs and the film trade. Film clubs used to number three times the 100 clubs in existence today, and an organization was needed to support and represent them. The change of regime and the economic and social changes have had a massive influence on the film clubs´evolution in recent times. The federation disseminates information for its members in its quarterly News Bulletin and has extensive video library. Also, meetings for filmgoers are regularly held, expanding film club members´understanding of film history. The members are informed annually about the work and plans of the federation at a general session. The nine member board comes together twice a year.

The Film Commission was set up in 1998 within the framework of the Motion Picture Public Foundation of Hungary with the support of the Ministry of National Cultural Heritage in order to provide location services and promote Hungary as a film location. In January 1999 the Membership Application of the Hungarian Film Commission was approved by the AFCI membership Review Committee, as an Interim Member. The Hungarian Film Commission participates at the annual Locations´Trade Show in Los Angeles with the aim of meeting other film commissioners and production professionals, and to create a film-friendly image of Hungary.

Magyar Filmunio was established in 1992 by the Motion Picture Public Foundation of Hungary for the promotion of Hungarian film throughout the world. The main fields of activity: organisation of the participation of Hungarian films (feature films, shorts, documentaries and animation) at international film festivals; organisation of retrospective screenings and national film weeks abroad; organisation of the Hungarian National Film Festival; contact and collaboration on a regular basis with international professional organisations and with national cinema and audiovisual bodies worldwide; organisation of conferences, workshops and meetings of the audiovisual sector; acting as a switchboard between Hungarian industry professionals and their partners abroad.

The Hungarian Institute of Film Science was founded in 1957 and it is based on the plan drafted by Béla Balázs in 1948. Its name has been changed to Hungarian Film Institute in 1985. Since June 2000 it is called the Hungarian National Film Archive, the status is a ‘national public collection' since 1991. The Archive's duties: collection, acquisition, preservation, restoration, screening and professional storage of the Hungarian features, documentaries, newsreels, animations, popular science films and classics of world cinema.

The Hungarian Society of Cinematographers is a registered social and professional organisation functioning in the film and television industry as well as in related trades. Its aim is to organise the Hungarian cinematographers – no matter what field they work – into an association, the aim of which would be to develop Hungarian cinematography.

Founded in 1997, IBAIA is the association of film and television production companies of the Basque Country.

The Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual, I. P. (ICA, I.P.) arose from the restructuring of the Instituto do Cinema, Audiovisual e Multimédia (ICAM), essentially to bring greater precision to the functioning of this Institute than before, and in a way which, in the approach of the cinematographic and audiovisual sector and in the support to the creation, production, exploitation and dissemination and other activities in the area of cinema, would take into account the new forms and opportunities of production and distribution or broadcasting of cinematographic works.

The Icelandic Dramatists´ Union is an independent organization of playwrights and scriptwriters in Iceland. Its main purpose is the protection of the artistic, moral and pecuniary rights of its members, and the promotion of contemporary Icelandic playwrighting. The Icelandic Dramatists´ Union is the authorized party to make framework agreements with all theatres in Iceland and jointly with The Writers' Union of Iceland makes other agreements, i. e. with Icelandic radio- and television stations. The Icelandic Dramatists´ Union is a member of The Nordic Union of Playwrights and a founding member of the Fédération des Scénaristes d’Europe / The Federation of Scriptwriters in Europe.

The Icelandic Film & TV Academy (IKSA) unites the film makers associations in Iceland in co-owned organisation, which aim is to enhance the Icelandic film and TV industry. For pursuing this goal, the Academy operates the EDDA Awards, the annual film and TV awards in Iceland. The EDDA awards are the Icelandic film scene harvesting festival with the aim to encourage professionalism in the industry. Members of the Academy vote on the work and individuals that are awarded each year. The Icelandic Film & TV Academy is a member of Film Academies Network of Europe and is responsible for nominating Iceland’s submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy published for years the industry magazine ‘Land og synir’, with the affiliating website. With a growing number of media focusing on Icelandic film and TV content, the publication was put on hold in fall 2011, mainly due to difficulties in raising funds for the operations. The Icelandic Film & TV Academy was formed in 1999 and the first EDDA Awards where handed out that year. The Academy is a private limited company owned and operated by: Association of Icelandic Film Makers (FK); Association of Icelandic Film Producers (SIK); Film Directors Guild of Iceland (SKL).

The role of the Icelandic Film Board is to give advice and make proposals to the Culture Minister about public policy and objectives in the matters of film art. The Minister appoints members of the Film Board for a three year term; the chairman and vice-chairman without nomination, and the other five members after nominations from the following organisations: The Association of Film Producers, The Association of Icelandic Film Directors, The Icelandic Filmmakers Association, The Association of Cinema Owners and The Icelandic Artists Alliance.

The responsibilities of ICS relating to the media include: collaborating in the definition, execution and evaluation of policies for the sector; implementing and co-ordinating allocation of State subsidies for the media; collaborating in the definition and execution of the external policy of Portugal in the area of media and participating in the external representation of the State as regards that sector; promoting and supporting initiatives aimed at work on communications policies and related matters.

The mission of the International Documentary Association is to promote nonfiction film and video around the world by: supporting and recognizing the efforts of documentary film and video makers; increasing public appreciation and demand for the documentary; providing a forum for documentary makers, their supporters and suppliers.

The International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA), the first global network of national arts funding bodies. Inaugurated in December 2000, our mission is to create an international resource and meeting ground for all those whose public responsibility it is to support excellence and diversity in artistic endeavour.

In the project Image for the Future, four organizations save an important part of the audiovisual heritage of the Netherlands through conservation and digitization. The digitized material will be made available to education and to the public as broadly as possible. Images for the Future is a project run by EYE Film Institute Netherlands (EYE), the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (Sound and Vision), the Dutch National Archives (NA) and the Knowledgeland Foundation (KL).

OFF - Oberoende Filmares Forbund - Independent Filmmakers Assocation

Established in July 2003, the Independent Cinema Office is a national organisation that aims to develop and support independent film exhibition throughout the UK. The ICO works in association with independent cinemas, film festivals, film societies and the regional and national screen agencies.

Independent Film Center - Filmart Pozega, organizer of Interaction - International Student Film Camp

The Independent Film Foundation (Niezależna Fundacja Filmowa) was created in 1999 to support the development and production of intellectually demanding films and create suitable conditions for the artistic and professional development of filmmakers. Since 2006, the Foundation has organized a training programme for scriptwriters from Eastern and Central Europe, ScripTeast. Since 1999 the Foundation has organized the annual ceremony of Polish Film Awards, Orly. It also organizes international meetings and conferences.

Since 1979, the non-profit IFP has evolved into the nation's oldest and largest organization of independent filmmakers, and also the premier advocate for them. Since its start, IFP has supported the production of 7,000 films and provided resources to more than 20,000 filmmakers--voices that otherwise might not have been heard. Currently, IFP represents a network of 10,000 filmmakers in New York City and around the world. Through its workshops, seminars, conferences, mentorships, and Filmmaker Magazine, IFP schools its members in the art, technology, and business of independent filmmaking (there are special programs to promote racial, ethnic, religious, ideological, gender, and sexual diversity). IFP builds audiences by hosting screenings - often in collaboration with other cultural institutions - and also bestows the Gotham Awards, the first honors of the film awards season. When all is said and done, IFP fosters the development of 200 feature and documentary films each year.

The Indigenous Film Centre "Skábma" is a regional resource centre in the film and audio-visual field. The Indigenous Film Centre promotes the planning, development and production of films and other products in the field of the media by looking for funding and partners and by arranging education and film events within the Sámi region. Furthermore, the Centre collects and maintains a database of indigenous film sources and organizes the indigenous Skábmagovat Film Festival.
