KUUKULGUR FILM is a company of young Estonian filmmakers. Kuukulgur Film specializes in the production of feature & documentary films and commercials, producing 30-40 TV commercials and 2-3 documentaries and fictions in a year. During the last three years, we have produced a series of documentary and fiction films that have been successful in the festivals and have enjoyed successful theater runs in Estonia. Kuukulgur Film has produced more than 120 TV commercials for Baltic and Scandinavian market.

Centre for Visual Communications KVADRAT is a film production and education firm. It is run by Svetlana and Zoran Popovic, both film directors, producers and professors. KVADRAT first started documentary workshops for film students and young film makers during nineties in former Yugoslavia. Since 1994 more then one hundred short documentaries have been made. Some of these films were among the most succesful in Serbian film production on national and international festivals in the last decade. KVADRAT’s activities influenced contemporary Serbian productions and aesthetic of young Serbian documentary makers. KVADRAT became one of the first members of EDN (European Documentary Network) from Serbia. In collaboration with the first director of EDN, Mr. Tue Steen Muller, and Sava Centar, KVADRAT has started the first European feature documentary film festival in Serbia – The Magnificent Seven - in 2005.

L'Alternativa - Barcelona Independent Film Festival looks for personal, original, experimental and narrative films reflecting the world we live in today. Every year the official section of the festival offers more than 60 international films. Selected films compete in four sections: Short, Feature, Animation and Documentary. Parallel Sections of the festival include retrospectives, tributes to forgotten filmmakers, thematic programmes, work from international film schools, etc. Parallel Activities offer workshops and round tables, and act as a meeting place where ideas can be exchanged, providing a space for filmmakers, spectators, critics and historians to share ideas and take part in debates on various film-related subjects.

L’Automat was formed by producer, director and photographer Petra Ondřejkova in 2008 in New York and Prague. L’Automat focus will be on a work dynamic that creates ideas that can be translated across all forms of visual media and content like film, photography, music and design.

Festival competition is open to all works of any length and genre: the local competition, reserved to those authors living or studying in the Abruzzo region, is addressed only to short films (max 20 min.). The main competition is open to all Italian and foreign works, short films, medium-length films and feature films.The festival presents short and feature films, Italian and international films; large space is given to documentaries and animation.

La Boia is a joint venture of the spanish Anna Montanyà and Sebastian Schaal from Germany. They founded this small film production having studied together theatre- and film sciences at Humboldt University Berlin. A buoy was the MacGuffin of our first shortfilm. Its bonfire is still blinking above this mini film production, with the objective of turning our crackpot ideas into filmic products of social and political relevance.

La Fàbrica de Cinema Alternatiu was founded in September 1992 as a natural reaction against traditional film institutions. It was the initiative of directors, producers and other professionals from the audiovisual sector. La Fàbrica was constituted as a non profit-making association. La Fàbrica's principal aim is to support and promote innovative film and audiovisual work by creating a necessary space for screening, learning, debate and reflection. Created in 1986, La fémis provides artistic and technical training devoted to cinema and audiovisual professions. Since 1996, the school has offered continuous training sessions for cinema and audio-visual professionals who wish to acquire or perfect professional skills. Archidoc, initiated in 2004 and supported by the EU MEDIA Programme, is designed to accompany filmmakers who have a documentary film project that uses archives. The objective is to develop and finetune their projects in a creative and professional environment and to help their teams to access the international documentary market. Archidoc happily boasts over 60 % of developed films actually produced and broadcast /screened.
