www.DOKweb.net is a portal dedicated to East European documentary film. The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

The Magellan Foundation is an international foundation that was made to realize statutory aims associated with meeting and exploration of the world such as organization and supporting expeditions and scientific-technical researches and international co-productions of high quality feature films and documentaries . The organization is supervised by a Foreign Minister of the Republic of Poland. The head office of the Magellan Foundation is situated in Wrocław – a very significant economic and cultural center in the south-west of Poland. Foundation also runs a business which possible profits are allocated solely for statutory aims. In connection with the above-mentioned, Foundation started to specialized in the field of creative documentary. Foundation intends also to start a business consisting in organizing training, and integration leaves for audio-visual professionals from different parts of the Europe and many unique artistic events. New course of activity requires cooperation with highly specialized foreign companies and organizations . For this reason we are interested in establishing contact with many other institutions which are also looking for organizing and supporting European co-productions of high quality feature films and documentaries .

MaGiKa Film Company emerged in 1990. The initial period resulted, among other things, in release of Granny's Fairy Tales, Before the Second Advent and LSD animated cartoons. The company entered the Clermont-Ferran and Annessy (France) movie markets, got registered in a French international catalogue of animated cartoons producers and participated in Molodost (Youth) international film festival. In 1994, MaGiKa-Film started production of TV programmes for National and Local TV Channels (CINEMA NEWS,Medicinewithout Misteries). Since 2001, MaGiKa-Film has been co-operating with the UNICEF in production of Alina and The Vanishing Intellect documentaries. In 2002, within the framework of co-operation with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), MaGiKa Film produced and released Compatriots documentary. In 2003, documentary started a series of educational films produced by MaGiKa-Film and intended for secondary school use. In 2004, with the assistance of the International Labour Organization, the company completed a series of documentaries on the worst forms of child labour. For 18 years MaGiKa Film Company has produced 30 documentaries. Efficient approach to marketing issues permits the company to have its films broadcast by over 70 Ukrainian television companies. Since 2003 MaGiKa Film has been the co-organizer of the “Human Rights Documentary Days” International Film Festival (www.docudays.org.ua) and the Ukrainian Documentary Co-production Workshop
