The Festival of Fantastic Films takes place every year in Manchester. Apart from screening a wide range of horror, thriller, fantasy and sci-fi films, the programme offers discussions, panels, amateur and independent short film competitions, a film fair and auctions.

Mandragora is one of the most dynamic production companies in Romania. Founded by Cristi Puiu and Anca Puiu in 2004, it shortly became a success projects generator, starting with it first production, “The death of Mr. Lăzărescu”, considered the first major film in the so-called “Romanian New Wave” and the spark that ignited a national film renaissance that continues to this day. The company has developed several feature films: “The death of Mr. Lăzărescu”, 2005, by Cristi Puiu – “Un Certain Regard”, Cannes 2005; “Francesca”, 2009, by Bobby Paunescu, Orizzonti - Venice 2009, “Aurora” by Cristi Puiu, Cannes 2010,“Morgen” by Marian Crisan, Locarno 2010. Short films such as “Megatron”, 2008, by Marian Crisan – “Palme d’Or” for short film, “Thursday”, 2007, by Hadrian Marcu and “Bricostory”, 2006, by Andreea Paduraru, have been well-received by the audience and festivals. The 14 episode “Lombarzilor 8” by Mimi Branescu and Dan Chiriac, inaugurated in 2006 the company’s TV series production line. The first documentary, “TUB – TransUrbanBucuresti” by Cristi Puiu, 2008, was followed by “Metrobranding” by Ana Vlad and Adi Voicu, released in 2010. The same team of directors also sign the latest Mandragora production, “Victoria”. Mandragora is committed to the idea of making movies that explore new ways in the cinema discourse. It also launches new talents, encouraging personal, coherent approaches of the young filmmakers. The value of the movies produced by Mandragora is confirmed by the audience’s interest, critics’ attention and prizes: “The death of Mr. Lăzărescu” won “Un Certain Regard” and over 40 national and international other prizes, being one of the most-awarded movie in the Romanian cinema, “Megatron” won several awards, starting with “Palme d’Or” for short film, “Francesca” after its presents at Orizzonti, Venice 2009, was recognized with the FIPRESCI award (Gijon) and Bursa prize, “Aurora” by Cristi Puiu was in Cannes 2010 and most recently “Morgen” by Marian Crisan won 4 prizez at Locarno Film Festival in 2010. Director Cristi Puiu is often invited to be part of various festival juries, the most notable being “Un Certain Regard” in 2007 and in 2010 he was the Director of the jury in Sarajevo film Festival.

Mandragora film was opened in 2006 to make creative documentary films that aim to raise awareness about forgotten traditions and cultural roots so often the basis for the questions at the heart of societal issues today. By using a part fictive, part authentic documentary film style, the intricate historical, political and societal contexts of the theme focused on are highlighted through poignant human stories.Mostly interested in syncretism between documentary and fiction, unencumbered by language, space and national identity, our films represent a wide range of cultural diversity of the Balkans.Mandragora film deals with film and television creative work, showing films, the collection and archiving of film material, organizing film workshops, film festivals and film revues, organizing vocational training and professional development of its members and interested individuals, organizing information - publishing activity from within its jurisdiction.Mandragora film is made up of a small core multi-cultural team of professionals with huge practical experience in all segments of filmmaking.Our common goal is to creatively follow the trends of presenting the reality of our life through the resurrection of long-forgotten values in conflict with the modern trends of living communities.

Manekino Film is a Bucharest based production company established to promote authors with strong personal visions, uncompromising films that reflect the controversial nowadays reality and daringly explore the limits of cinema language. Manekino Film sets an official frame for the 9 years of creative team work in cinema field of its founders-Marius Iacob, cinematographer/director/producer and Adina Pintilie, director/scriptwriter/producer. The International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg is a newcomer-festival for the creative international author’s film with an artistic claim. The festival presents (in the International Competition as well as in the main side-programme International Discoveries) premieres of fiction feature films, documentary films and short films from all over the world, produced by directors who - on an international scale - are basically unknown (Newcomers).

The "Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation for Documentary Photography & Film" will award $5.000 USD grant to a single completed "short-short" documentary film project (10-20 minutes in length). The grant is open to up and coming, non professional film makers and directors in all countries.

MARTHON-ART Film Studio exists over 10 years and pruduced more then 50 documentary fillms, which were shown in major TV channels of Russia. The key themes for focumentaries are: biographies, arts, music, history and social acpects. Docu dramas and mocumentary are also produced in MARATHON-ART studio. Wiyjin last 10 years famous Russian and Euripean film directors co-operated with MARATHON-ART FILM STUDIO.

Maremetraggio offers its audience high-quality works with a unique pan-European coverage, promoting countries of low-capacity production, young professionals and inter-cultural dialogue. The core of the event consists of the following four sections: 1 Maremetraggio Section - shorts that, in the previous year, won the most important European festivals; European short films compete for the final prize of € 10.000,00; 2 Ippocampo Section - debut films shot by directors who have started their artistic career with short films; 3 Corallino Section - best Italian short films by Italian junior high school students; in 2005, 150 works were submitted, 16 were selected and 2 screened; 4 CEI Section - a special competition for short films and directors from countries belonging to the Central European Initiative, western Balkans and NIS countries.
