Nordisk Film & TV Fond and Power to the Pixel join forces in new ambitious collaboration - cross media content for kids. The Nordic region (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) has a proud tradition of producing high quality film and TV programs for children. However content is no longer only consumed in cinemas and on TV screens. Mobile phones, game consoles and online platforms are new arenas for storytelling. Nordic production companies now have a unique chance to enter the scene. To enhance the development of six pre-selected high quality Nordic cross-media projects Nordisk Film & TV Fond is joining forces with UK cross-media experts Power to the Pixel. A development process will be specially designed and conducted by Power to the Pixel who will invite some of the best international experts who are working in cross-media.

The Ismailia Documentary Co-production Platform is an opportunity to have meetings with experts, sales agents, and funders. Filmmakers from all over the world, who have a project with "an Arab connection" (director, producer, co-producer, main talent, location, subject matter, etc...) are encouraged to apply with feature-length creative documentaries either at the development or post-production phase and all applications must be in English.

In 2005 AGORA, Thessaloniki’s Film Market, was created and established a productive and unique form of helping and introducing professionals from South-Eastern and Central Europe, the Balkan region, the Mediterranean as well as the rest of the world to the invited industry professionals, consultants, tutors and potential collaborators. The Pitching Forum – Docs In Thessaloniki, running since 2001 in collaboration with the European Documentary Network -a member-based organisation for professionals working with documentary feature projects- gives local and foreign documentary professionals the opportunity to have their projects pitched to a panel of international financiers, commissioning editors and representatives of the international audiovisual media.

Visions du Réel and EDN are organizing two co-production and financing sessions. For the fifth year running Pitching du Réel will be held, a co-production meeting devoted to documentary feature-length films. In addition there will a day of One-on-One meeting sessions.

The Wellcome Trust is a global charity dedicated to achieving extraordinary improvements in human and animal health. They work with the broadcast industry to increase the quality, quantity and visibility of science and medicine in the media. Programme-makers are invited to apply for the chance to pitch an idea about health, biology or medicine to an expert panel.

The Wildscreen Festival was founded by Sir Peter Scott in 1982 and has been organised every other year for the past 25 years. Held in Bristol, the world’s centre for wildlife filmmaking, it attracts hundreds of delegates from around the globe who work in film, television and the press, as well as those actively involved in working to conserve the environment. The main components of the Festival are the innovative key events, the Panda Awards and trade show.

As in previous years, ZagrebDox, the international documentary film festival, is organizing ZagrebDox Pro for authors and producers of documentary films. This program will enable such professionals to take part in round tables, a masterclass conducted by prominent professionals whose primary field of interest is documentary film, and workshops and the pitching forum (the latter two events being of major importance for their projects).
