Documentary Fortnight - MoMA’s International Festival of Nonfiction Film and Media was established in 2001. It is MoMA’s annual two-week showcase of recent nonfiction film and media takes place each February. This international selection of films presents a wide range of creative categories that extend the idea of the documentary form, examines the relationship between contemporary art and nonfiction practices, and reflects on new areas of nonfiction practice. The venue - Museum of Modern Art - is a leading contemporary and modern art institution located in New York City. It hosts new and ongoing exhibitions in Painting and Sculpture, Prints and Illustrated Books, Drawings, Photography, Media and Performing Arts, Architecture and Design, and Film.

The place where film meets music and music meets film - that is the core theme of the festival's annual programme that includes a wide variety of audiovisual projects from some of the world's leading filmmakers and musicians. As a four-day celebration of the arts and Prague's many rich cultural venues, the festival aims to enrich the city, while adding an international element to its treasured music and film heritage.

The four-day-training course financed by the International Visegrad Fund aims at developing creative documentary projects coming from all over Europe but with a special focus on the life and culture of the V4 countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary). myDEER is an intensive training course for professional filmmakers with two internationally acknowledged heads of studies, Tue Steen Müller and András Péterffy, and several individual tutors. Its goal is to foment international co-productions, especially with the participation of Czech, Slovak, Polish and Hungarian filmmakers and producers, to create a professional network and help filmmakers enter the European documentary film scene. The course brings together the insights of regional film traditions: the new trends in Hungarian and Slovak filmmaking, the Czech humour and the Polish cinematographic style to produce innovative works for the contemporary European documentary market.

The main aim of the organizors is to present and celebrate all the possible faces of the social documentary film (war conflicts, interpersonal relations, upheaval situations, life of the social minorities, ecological topics, issues related to the old age, social integration etc.) Besides that, the organizors are aiming to support and promote documentary film as such in the region and intermediate an exchange of opinions and experiences between the local audience and the filmmakers on one hand as well as between all the generations of documentarists on the other hand.
