ARS DIGiTAL STUDiO (ADS) was found in 1994 by three famous (in their own areas) professionals. Blagomir Alexiev (soundengineer & sound designer), Assen Avramov (musician and film & theathre music composer) and Ivan Tonev (director of photography and director) initially plan the studio as a small unit for production of their own art projects. Today ARS DIGiTAL STUDiO (ADS) is full-scale professional studio, offering a large number of production and post-production services. Situated in Sofia, Bulgaria it works for local, national and international producers and companies. ARS DIGiTAL STUDiO (ADS) has specialized in the Audio, TV and Video production and post–production. We offer two independent recording/dubbing studios, foley stage, editing/mixing studio, video–editing studio, specialized subtitling department, studio for graphic design.

Established in 1991, ARS Media is engaged in the production of video films and films, reproduction, screening, distribution and sales of audiovisual works, organisational activities in the production of films and television programmes, advertising, publishing and consultancy activities within the scope of business. Representative activities in 2004 included the international co-production of the feature film Nepochovaný mŕtvy (‘The Unburied Dead’), directed by Márta Mészáros, and the provision of services in the production of Vlkodav z ríše Šedých psov (‘The Wolf from the Land of Grey Dogs’), directed by Nikolaj Lebedev.

Along with a cinema and distribution company, Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art provides accompanying intermediation, research and a transfer of knowledge which will be expanded in the future. Arsenal Kino: presents two regular series: Magical History Tour and the new, Berlin-oriented Focus on Potsdamer Platz. Arsenal Transfer: encourages the public discourse on the language, history and future of film through symposia, panel discussions, workshops, lectures and exhibitions. Arsenal Kollektion: consists of some 9,000 works. The film collection documents our concept of film (history) as a “living archive” and encompasses the historical impulses of avant-garde film history as well as current trends in film and video art. Arsenal Distribution: encompasses some 2,000 titles. The distributor emerged from the desire to make the films screened at the Forum accessible to an international audience after the end of the festival. Arsenal Service: offers extensive advising and research possibilities to curators, academics and those interested in film. Arsenal Edition: publishes books and DVDs to accompany the programs of the Institute for Film and Video Art.

Arsenals is a biennial film event. The program consists of the Forum International Competition Screening, the Baltic Film Competition (films from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia), Retrospective, World Cinema Panorama, and special thematic programs.

The production agency ARSMEDIA was established in 1995, following the decision of the government of Slovenia to found the SLOVENIAN FILM FUND in January of that year. The Fund enabled Slovenian producers and executive producers to take a more active role in the formation of the national filming policy. Most of ARSMEDIA’s productions have been financially sponsored by the Slovenian Ministry of Culture, the Slovenian Film Fund and TV Slovenia. The documentary THE EYES OF BOSNIA, however, was produced independently by ARSMEDIA with its own resources, and it won an award at the Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož.

The company mainly produces documentaries, but can also make television programs and reference films. They have the capacity to arrange directors, cinematographers, production managers, scriptwriters and other production activities on demand.

Motion Picture Company ART&POPCORN was founded in Belgrade in 2004 by the group of young film professionals with an idea and intention to produce good films. At the moment of its foundation they had all together: one feature film, ten short films, twenty-seven productions of international film festivals, three children, one Golden Bear Award, one European Film Academy Award and one Oscar nomination.

Art Doc is an independent company, based in Bucharest, Romania, and specialized on the production of creative documentaries, experimental shorts and international co-productions.It was established in 2004 by Ileana Stanculescu who has produced feature length documentaries like: “Podul pesteTisa” (The Bridge), “Satul sosetelor” (Village of Socks), “Akhmeteli 4”, “Quarters of Balchik” and “Noosfera”.The films have been awarded the FIRST APPEARANCE AWARD for “Podul pesteTisa” at IDFA in 2004, the PRIX REGARDS NEUFS for “Akhmeteli 4” at the Visions du réel film festival in 2007, the BRITISH COUNCIL AWARD FOR THE BEST ROMANIAN DOC and a NOMINATION FOR THE JORIS IVENS AWARD at IDFA for “Village of Socks”. Most docs were selected by over thirty major film festivals, were funded internationally and were screened in cinemas, distributed online and on DVD or broadcast on different TV channels in Romania and outside of Romania.
