Vértice Sales is an international sales agency of audiovisual products catering for all sorts of television needs. Its comprehensive catalogue includes movies, formats, television series, documentaries, etc. Vértice Sales belongs to Vértice 360º Group - a cluster of companies specialized in content production, product distribution and technical support provision to the audiovisual sector in Spanish-speaking countries, with a strong international focus. Since December 2007, Vértice 360º lists in Madrid's Stock Exchange. The catalogue includes productions from Vértice 360 Group’s as well as from independent international producers. The company works as a boutique seeking to represent a select group of high-quality productions.

Vértigo is an association dedidated to cinema that brings together members of film-related organizations in order to promote and defend the educational role of cinema. The association organizes various educational programmes that promote Spanish cinema, e.g. courses, forums, film screenings, the Iberoamerican Film Festival, etc.

The festival was established in 1991 and has since become one of the largest gay & lesbian film festivals in Europe. It is a competitive event and presents films of interest to GLBT communities. Around 75 feature, short and documentary films are selected every year and screened in Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne and Berlin. In each of the cities, audiences are asked to vote for the best feature (>60min) and for the best short film (under 30min). Every year the festival also hosts a large number of international distributors and buyers, which points out the market character of the event.

VERZIO International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival is organized by OSA Archivum and Verzio Film Foundation in Budapest, Hungary. VERZIO festival aims at highlighting human rights issues and bringing to the broad public powerful documentary films that go beyond the usual media coverage of current social and political affairs. The films address a wide range of issues affecting international affairs today: civil conflicts; war crimes; terrorism; political repression; free media; minorities; acceptance and tolerance versus exclusion, nationalism and racism; equal opportunities, women's rights, trafficking, domestic violence; child abuse. And though much of the subject material is serious, sometimes even tragic, the films are also infused with hope and the conviction that committed people can make a difference. The main program offers approx. 40 international films. Screenings are accompanied by debates with filmmakers, journalists, and film scholars. Hungarian and English are the two official languages of the Festival. VERZIO is also involving Budapest students in the project by organizing morning screenings and follow-up debates for high schools. By encouraging tolerant intercultural communication, the project works to remove prejudices and the negative effects of extremism, racism, national intolerance and xenophobia. There is no entry fee for applications to the Verzio Film Festival and no restrictions on the production date.

Verzio DocLab is a 4-day workshop for documentary filmmakers, independent producers and festival organizers, who are working on projects on minority, immigration, social justice or human rights issues. Participants working on Roma issues, or coming from Roma background, will have a priority in the selection.

Production company OÜ Vesilind is an independent Estonian production company (established in 1996) producing documentary films and TV-programs. During the first five years the company attained recognition as a producer of wildlife and mountaineering films. Vesilind is a member of European Documentary Network since 2003. From 2001 Vesilind has promoted itself as a producer of wild-life and environmental films and TV programs. This strategy has provided the opportunity to secure a niche in Estonia. All films made by Vesilind have been aired by Estonian TV companies; most have been presented at the annual film festival of Estonian film-makers. The company has made co-production with Estonian Television and the private channel TV 3. Organisation of the company Vesilind is owned by 3 private persons, all of whom are citizens of Estonia. The company is led by a Board of Directors, the chairman of which is Riho Västrik. Presently there are 8 employees working for the development and production of television programs and documentary films.

To participate in the competition, the films must be directed by an Asian, and/or produced in an Asian country or introduce a topic related to Asian countries, culture, etc. The festival presents approx. 50 feature films (10 films in the competition) and 12 video documentary films| other films are screened in non-competitive sections.

Valtion elokuvatarkastamo (VET) is the Finnish Board of Film Classification. VET/SFB is an official institution of the Finnish Ministry of Education. It is responsible for inspecting and rating the content of movies and interactive games.

Vezfilm limited was created in London in 2009. It focuses on creative documentaries and innovative communication media, with an emphasis on topics of social and political relevance. The company builds on the experience of successful documentaries produced and directed in France, Poland and Italy by its founders and their experience with documentary productions for the Al Jazeera network. The company is currently co-producing the documentary THE END AND THE BEGINNING with the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing (Poland), and developing two creative documentaries: THE TRAIN TO MOSCOW and YOU HAVE TO BE THERE, co-produced by Otter Films (Poland), developed and pitched at the Documentary Campus Masterschool, IDFA Summer School, IDFA Seeding Table, Baltic Sea Forum and Dok Leipzig.

All-Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov (Russian: Всероссийский государственный университет кинематографии имени С.А.Герасимова), VGIK, is a film school in Moscow. It was founded by the film director Vladimir Gardin in 1919 and is, according to the institute, the oldest film school in the world.

VGIK International Student Festival is one of the oldest student film showcases. The first Festival was held in 1961. Young promising filmmakers have a good chance to screen their works and get one of the following prizes: Best Feature, Best Documentary, Best Animation, Best School Film Program, Best Film Program according to the Student Jury, International Audience Award and Jury’s Special Mention.

The aim of the VGIK International Summer School is to acquire additional knowledge and training in the profession, to develop academic and creative film production contacts between the students of film schools from different countries and to exchange the knowledge and experience in the field of the film education. Within the framework of the summer school the students of Direction, Cinematography, Film production departments of film schools will get to attend master-classes of European and Russian filmmakers, present and discuss their stories on the proposed theme, explore the area of the shooting, receive an expertise and professional advise of the professors at all stages of film production, shoot a 10-minute documentary film on specific theme.
