The Warsaw Film Foundation is responsible for the organization of the Warsaw Film Festival. The Foundation also played a leading role in establishing the Association of Film Festivals in Central and Eastern Europe - CentEast. It also organizes the CentEast Regional Film Market and promotes Polish films at an international level.

Warsaw International Film Festival is the only FIAPF recognized film festival in Poland. It prioritises the screening of Eastern and Central European film but does not exclude a wider programme of European projects. The Festival programme is divided into the following sections: 1 New Films / New Directors International Competition of first and second feature films; 2 Regional Competition for feature length films (fiction and documentary) from Central and Eastern Europe (main production country: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine). 3 Documentary Features Competition; 4 New Polish Films; 5 Discoveries – visions of contemporary world; 6 Free Spirit – films, which are independent, innovative, rebellious; 7 Master’s Touch – new films by established filmmakers; 8 National / regional panoramas; 9 Retrospectives / special presentations.

The Warsaw Jewish Film Festival accepts documentary films and fiction films concerning Jewish issues. The festival screens films in the following categories: 1 Films with the running time up to about 40 minutes - short fiction films / short documentary films; 2 Films with the running time over 40 minutes - fiction feature films / feature documentary films.

Wasabi Film was founded 1/1/2006 in Munich by Martin Kircher & Hendrik Feil. The independent producers and managers jointly develop, finance, produce and realize movies for the national and international market. The emphases of their production are feature movies (cinema and TV) and commercials. For the development and production of series, they created the “Serie17 Medienproduktion” together with the Berlin Opal group. (www.serie17.tv).

Watch Docs Human Rights in Film is one of the oldest and largest human rights film festivals in the world, which annually garners 70 000 viewers in the whole country. Festival's organizers - Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle and Social Institute of Film - combine human rights NGO background with the film art background. Watch Docs is a competition festival devoted mainy to documentaries, and includes also four permanent repertoire sections, retrospectives and special screenings. International festival in Warsaw, held annually in Decembe, provides the programming and organizational platform for the festival's other projects involving socially engaged documentary film, such as travelling festival visiting around 40 Polish cities and towns per year, university video libraries, school film clubs, as well as Watch Docs online where films are accompanied by interviews and articles prepared by the journalists of cooperating media - gazeta.pl and TOK FM radiostation.

The International Film Festival Water, Sea & the Oceans is a competition festival of documentary films. Its objective is to present and award new films about the world of salt and fresh water, to encourage the production of water-related films at the international level, and to inform and raise awareness about the protection of water ecosystems. The films can be submitted by their authors (both professionals as well as amateurs), distributors, film or TV companies, producers or owners and other film festivals. The international jury will decide on the following awards: Best Salt Water Film, Best Fresh Water Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Large Format, Best Diving Film, Best Environmental Film, Best Czech Film, Best Free Production, Best Debut.

The task of WBI is to facilitate the access of producers and buyers to audiovisual markets and to assist them in promoting and selling their products at international markets.

WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk - German Radio & TV) is one of the broadcasting members of the ARD, the first public German broadcaster, which consists of ten members under state law and public control. All of them have the same mission, i.e., to serve the public as a whole with programmes providing information, education and entertainment. With seven “Third” (regional) programmes besides the “First” programme (nationwide), the ARD broadcasting corporations demonstrate their regional competence. The WDR is one of these providers specialized on regional information, entertainment programmes and music, cultural and science programmes, documentaries, feature films and series. Possible involvement in co-production depends on the story.
