The Black&White Audiovisual Festival is a unique event at the international festival circuit. Founded in 2004, by the Escola das Artes da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, B&W has been recognized by artists, academies and also by the film industry as one of most interesting film events on the festival calendar. Cultural festival in Moravian city Boskovice is focused on saving and restoring of local Jewish quarter. The International Competition of First and Second Feature Films forms the main program section of the Festival. Only films which meet the following requirements are eligible to enter the competition: these films must have been made and distributed on 35mm film as a professional or independent production, with an overall length exceeding 60 minutes. The International Braunschweig Film Festival, the film festival with the longest tradition in Lower Saxony, has been a constant feature of regional and supraregional cultural life here for 19 years now.
