The Latin American Film Festival was founded in 1990 and it is organized by Latin American Film Festival Ltd. (a non-profit organisation), dedicated to promoting the distribution and appreciation of Latin American films in the UK. The festival showcases the best of new Latin American cinema each year. The film screenings and associated events also raise awareness about Latin American culture. Since 1990 the festival has become one of the biggest events of its kind outside Spanish speaking countries and it has acted as a launch pad for the distribution and critical coverage of many Latin American films.

Established in 1992, The Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion of cultural and racial tolerance and understanding through the exhibition of film, art and creative expression. It is PAFF’s goal to present and showcase the broad spectrum of Black creative works, particularly those that reinforce positive images and help to destroy negative stereotypes. We believe film and art can lead to better understanding and foster communication between peoples of diverse cultures, races, and lifestyles, while at the same time, serve as a vehicle to initiate dialogue on the important issues of our times. Each year, PAFF presents: * Over One Hundred (100) quality films from the United States, Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the South Pacific and Canada, all showcasing the diversity and complexity of people of African descent. * One of America’s largest fine art shows featuring prominent and emerging black artists and fine crafts people, including local, national and international poets, musicians and storytellers.

The Thessaloniki Documentary Festival “Images of the 21st Century” is an international Festival of Documentary films and videos. The main aim is to introduce and promote the most important documentary productions worldwide and to create an international forum for the presentations and discussion of emerging media and information technologies. TDF is organized under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture with the support of the Greek Television Network (ERT), and is administered by the International Thessaloniki Film Festival. The programme includes: Greek and international selection of current productions, retrospectives, Doc Market, Pitching Forum.

The Thessaloniki International Film Festival takes place every year in Thessaloniki. The Festival features the work of young film directors from all over the world establishing Thessaloniki as a meeting-place between filmmakers and Greek audiences. The Tiburon International Film Festival (TIFF) is an annual event, which seeks to provide a greater understanding of the world and its many cultures through the artistic medium of film, and through the top quality films from around the world. TIFF wishes to enhance tolerance between people of all backgrounds. Its goal is one of cultural enrichment and heightened cultural awareness, and to create a platform for the independent filmmakers to express their talent and vision from any nation. TIFF strongly believes in its motto: "Understanding the World through Film"

The festival was born as a cultural move seeking to establish a regular film event in Vilnius and the Western Lithuania, that could attract an audience of various dispositions and present it with an unconventional cinema festival. The festival has screened over 800 films and provided an opportunity for more than 70,000 viewers to meet and interact with directors, producers and film critics from 20 countries. In 2003 the festival entered the European Open Air Screenings Association and in 2005 became a member of the European Coordination of Film Festivals. Its geography spread from Klaipëda and Vent ë Horn to Vilnius, Kaunas, Ðiauliai, Palanga and Trakai.

This unique event for Albania takes place under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports and Tirana City-Hall. The competition program combines short films of all formats and categories, alternated between them, in order to make it more eclectic and exciting. Tirana International Film Festival is open to well-known artists as well as students, representatives of all schools, contemporary, independent and alternative cinema from throughout the world. Part of the Festival is also a special program which includes all forms of film production - feature, documentaries and animated films under 30' in length. A particular interest is shown in retrospectives of different authors or countries. TIFF reserves an important space to the seminars and workshops, which prove necessary for the Albanian filmmakers and young artists.

The festival is one of the biggest and most renowned international events in the international film business. Every year approximately 18.000 tickets are sold, 440 professionals visit the event, 41 films from 23 countries are screened. Apart from showing new works by established directors, the festival concentrates on the output of first-time directors.

The Torun Film Festival is a festival of independent feature films. The main idea of the festival is to present young and unknown feature films and discover new talented filmmakers from all the world. We want to promote ambitious and unconventional cinema, that is being produced beyond the huge Hollywood’ film industry and its companies.

Established in 1987, the Tokyo International Film Festival accepts full-length feature films by young talents and also showcases the latest works of established directors. TIFFCOM, a multi-content entertainment business market takes place during the festival.

The Torelló International Festival of Mountain and Adventure Films (Festival Internacional de Cine de Montaña y Aventura) was established in 1983. The festival presents films that are related to the following subjects: alpinism, climbing, expeditions, excursions. Films of mountain sports: speleology, skiing, sports climbing, parachuting, canoeing-rafting, adventure. Films of mountain environment: nature protection, flora, fauna, ethnology.

In its competitive sections it will promote awareness of new films and new directors whose work is characterized by innovative formal and stylistic approach.

“Da Sodoma a Hollywood” – Torino GLBT Film Festival is organised by “L’altra Comunicazione” Cultural Association and the National Museum of Cinema – The Maria Adriana Prolo Foundation of Turin. The official program of the Festival includes three competitive sections: - International Full-length Competition - International Short Film Competition - International Documentary Competition as well as: - Out of Competition – Special Events.

The aim of the Festival is to present and evaluate films, audiovisuals and multimedia, the content and artistic level of which contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism and which also help to wide international promotion of these shots.

It is meant to be an annual event. Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) is presented by Romanian Film Promotion. It is the only international feature film festival in Romania. Romanian Film Promotion was founded in 2001 and wants to promote young filmmakers, organize a feature film festival, help distribution and promotion of the European cinema, organize seminars and conferences about film production and distribution.

Transmediale is a festival for art and digital culture that takes place every year in Berlin during the first week of February. It is a forum of communication for artists, media workers and a broad public interested in arts. Transmediale also includes a large media art exhibition, which can be seen for an extended period of six weeks. Workshops and discussions are part of the festival.

TRANZYT is made up of three kinds of events: - the screening of documentaries, - music track: concerts, most interesting bands from Central Europe - Initiative Exchange, or the fair of socially, culturally, and ecologically concerned undertakings, - an exhibition of visual documentary projects.

The Trento Mountain and Exploration Film Festival presents and promotes international films and videos on mountain, adventure and exploration subjects. The festival accepts fiction, documentary and animated films that: contribute to the conservation of mountains; portray the most important aspects of human, cultural and technical adventure in mountaineering; promote the environmental conservation and sustainable development of mountain areas; portray the various disciplines and modern evolutions of alpine sports.

The Tribeca Film Festival was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff as a response to the events of September 11, 2001. The Festival's mission is to create platforms for filmmakers to reach the best possible audience for their work. Tribeca All Access (TAA) supports directors and screenwriters from traditionally under-represented communities in the film industry by serving as a year round networking and career development forum that provides access to industry representatives looking for new projects in development. Each year, a diverse group of emerging and established filmmakers are selected from an open call for submissions to participate in a series of workshops and panels, before pitching their narrative scripts or documentary works-in progress in a series of one-on-one business meetings with industry executives during the Tribeca Film Festival.

The main purpose of the Trieste Film Festival organised by Alpe Adria Cinema is to promote information, debate and mutual cooperation among the operators of the audiovisual production industry in Central and Eastern Europe. The festival has the following sections: International Feature Film Competition and International Short Film Competition will present a selection of the most recent productions, mainly focusing on those films that feature originality and innovation, as well as on productions that focus on particular aspects and problems of the society and culture of their countries of origin. International Documentary Film Competition will present a selection of the most recent documentary production. Other sections: "Cinema Zones" devoted to the local film industry, retrospectives, special thematic programmes.
