Eurimages is the Council of Europe fund for the co-production, distribution and exhibition of European cinematographic works. Set up in 1988 as a Partial Agreement it currently has 34 Member States.
Eurimages aims to promote the European film industry by encouraging the production and distribution of films and fostering co-operation between professionals.
Bearing this in mind, Eurimages has developed four funding programmes:
- Assistance for co-production;
- Assistance for distribution;
- Assistance to cinemas;
- Assistance to digitisation for Eurimages funded projects

A programme aiming at enhancing Euro-Mediterranean audiovisual co-operation.
Euromed Audiovisual II is geared towards professionals, institutions and national organizations in the audiovisual field from the following countries and territories: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, the Palestinian Authority, Tunisia and Turkey, in order to create sustainable networks between the professionals of the two shores of the Mediterranean.
For the period 2007-2013, the EU’s development action in the field of culture is financed through two types of instruments:
* the implementation of the policy at national and regional level is supported by geographical instruments, such as the European Development Fund (in the ACP countries), the Development Co-operation Instrument (in Latin America, Asia and South Africa), and the European Neighbourhood & Partnership Instrument (in the neighbouring regions);
* the thematic programme Investing in people, where 50 million € are allocated to the culture strand under the heading "Access to local culture, protection and promotion of cultural diversity", focuses on the development of policies that allow better access to and preservation of local culture and on offering opportunities for cultural exchange and strengthening contacts between cultural actors as a way of allowing multicultural and multiethnic dialogue aimed at the improvement of mutual understanding and respect, and preservation of local and indigenous culture and values.

Film & Kino is the main organization for the cinema and video industries in Norway. It was established in 1917. In Norway most cinemas are owned by the municipalities. Film & Kino is a member organization for these municipalities, looking after their interests concerning film, the running of cinemas and video activities. Membership is open to all municipalities. At the moment, it has 149 municipalities as registered members. Film & Kino also administers the Norwegian Cinema and Film Foundation, which was established in 1970. Norwegian law instructs this foundation to charge a certain percentage of cinema ticket sales as well as a levy on video sales and rentals. Film Center Serbia (FCS) is an institution based on the achievements of the highly respected Film Institute (1963-2004). FCS was established in 2004 under the Ministry of Culture, with the aim of strategic development and reconstruction of the Serbian film industry.
FCS was established:
• to creatively stimulate and administer financial support to Serbian cinema on behalf of the Ministry of Culture of Serbia, through annual competitions for screenplay and project development, film production and postproduction.

Film Subsidies (Public Equity)
Film Consult has good contacts to the regional Film Subsidies in Austria and assists foreign producers from the early stages of applying to the respective Subsidy Boards till the final audit of the granted subsidy.
Investment (Private Equity)
Film Consult specialises in the closing of financing gaps and is in a position to assist foreign producers in finding private investors which will pay a certain amount subject to getting certain rights (e.g. all rights for the German speaking territory; first position recoupment out of revenues).

Film i Värmland is a regional center for film, founded in 1995. Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein supports the production and exploitation of films of all genres and any length, national or international, from the development of the script to the film’s screening in the cinema or its broadcast on television.
