Supports film productions for cinema and television.

Founded in 2005, Midtnorsk Filmsenter is a regional centre for the development of film production and for the support and of young filmmakers and film training in the region.

Direzione Generale per il Cinema promotes the development and diffusion of Italian cinema and the national film industry. In particular: * intervenes financially to support and promote Italian cinematographic culture * acts as a financial intermediary with regard to the production and distribution, as well as in for the exhibition sector * authorises creation of cinemas * rates films * intervenes as a share holder in companies operating in the sectore and oversees the Scuola nazionale di cinema * exercises administrative and financial control and inspection over the bodies for which it is responsibile and which receive subventions from the Ministery of Culture As part of its competences, the Direzione Generale oversees the allocation of amounts dedicated to cinema of the Fondo Unico dello Spettacolo and manages the work of the related committees.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism is operating three funding schemes for the support of feature films, documentaries, short films and animation; script development and production support; distribution and promotion support. Minority co-productions are eligible to apply with a Turkish producer on board. Production grants are in the form of soft loans and range from 125,000 - 200,000 euro per project.

The aims of the Ministry of culture of Bulgaria are: the transformation of cultural collaboration in head form of international collaboration, with accent over the Bolkan region| synchronization of legislation of Republic Bulgaria with the european legislation in the region of culture, development of law frames, mechanism and forms for realisation of the bulgarian authors of international cultural markets, participation in the programs of EU, Europe Council, UNESCO and others, collaboration with internation government and non-government organizations, initiation and acomplishment of projects for cultural collaboration at regional level| concurrence activity of the bulgarian cultural institutes in foreign countries, attendance of the bulgarion culture at different languages in Interent.

The Ministry of Culture promotes and supports all activities that contribute to the conservation of audiovisual heritage and improve the economic structure of the film and audiovisual industry. The Spanish Ministry of Culture established the Institute of Film and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA, Instituto de la Cinematografia y las Artes Audiovisuales) in order to provide funding for a range of film-related activities, such as production, distribution, script development, festivals, etc. In 2006, the total budget of ICAA was 64.5 million euros.

The Ministry of Culture of Slovak Republic was founded in 1969. It is considered the protection and development of cultural heritage, support for contemporary artistic production, as well as the development of culture in general as an important investment in the moral, intellectual, social and economic development of the society. The Government will prepare and adopt a state cultural policy concept. The mains aims of the Ministry of Culture are protection and cultivation of national culture, arts, monuments, as well as the nature protection.

Ministry of Culture, Sports and Media Montenegro

Part of the agenda of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the three projectshave been set up to aidthe development of cinema indifferent regionsof the world. Plan Images Afriquecomprises several tools designed to enhance the creativity of professionals and generate an industrial production network in this zone: the Fonds Images Afrique (backing for film and television production)| Africa Cinemas (support for distributing African films in Africa)| a television modernization programme for some ten countries in French-speaking Africa entrusted to Canal France International Audiovisual and TV Company (CFI). Plan Images Archives is a natural follow-up to Plan Images Afrique that aims to develop digital archive programmesthat would protect allsignificant AV works. Fonds Sud Cinema is a selective funding agency that supports the production offull-length feature films from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Arab world and some Eastern European countries.

Since its foundation in 1998 Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung has supported an average of 100 projects every year, spending funds amounting to approximately 12.5 million euros annually. It supports film projects with an original story that draw on regional particularities and cultural heritage| in addition, MDM also supports film festivals, seminars and workshops.

Mozaik is a community development foundation that provides grants and advisory support to local initiatives of common interest throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. We focus on local resource mobilization and sustainability of social and economic development through implementing a range of programs that support initiatives in rural communities. As such, we have selected several programmatic areas that are used as an incentive for community development: cultural heritage, inclusion/social justice and youth, which are all based on our own in-house developed CDD approach. Besides for this, our programme "For Active Communities" allows for the implementation of the initiatives which can solve any issue, selected by the members of the communities.

The MSH film and television funding in the state of Schleswig-Holstein aims to support diverse and distinctive productivity, strengthen the cultural-economical efficiency of production companies, improve training and further-education.

The National Center of Cinematography (Qendra Kombëtare e Kinematografisë) operates with an annual budget of approx. 1 million euro. The unions of professional filmmakers in Albania assign their representatives to the QKK Council, a body that selects projects to receive funding. The maximum amount available for each selected project is 300,000 euro. QKK provides funding in both minority and majority co-productions. Other sources of financing are: public and private broadcasters who participate in projects with in-kind investments and promotional services.

National Centre for Culture - Poland The aims of the National Centre for Culture is promotion and protection of Polish cultural heritage, initiation and co-ordination of strategy programmes for culture, promotion of culture as an important factor of social and economic development, and civic education, building a platform for regional, trans-regional and international cultural co-operation, collecting and processing cultural information, inspiring active participation in culture.

The National Cinema Centre (Centrul National al Cinematografiei) wants to encourage and protect national film production, stimulate film making and distribution of films of artistic value, and valorise national film patrimony.

The National Film Centre of Latvia (Nacionalais kino centrs) is a state financed governmental organisation overseeing the film branch in Latvia, granting governmental financial support to Latvian films, preserving the national audiovisual heritage, promoting Latvian films abroad, co-operating with the relevant international and national organisations and organising training for Latvian film professionals.

National Fund for Culture

The Dutch Film Institute was founded in 1947 and aims to further develop film culture and education in the Netherlands. NFI supports the development and production of Dutch feature and documentary films.

The Netherlands Film Fund is the national agency responsible for supporting film production and cinema in the Netherlands. It focuses on the quality and diversity of feature films, documentaries, shorts, animation and experimental films. The Fund’s operations cover participation in development, production, distribution and marketing. It is also responsible promoting a good climate for the national film industry. The Film Fund was founded in 1993 by merging two other funds. Its budget is provided by the government. It operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture and receives most of its funds on the basis of four-year policy plans.
