The CROSS-MEDIA CHALLENGE is a competition for innovative, interactive, socially engaged content with applications for mobile and broadband. The winning producer will sign a production development deal with the NFB worth C$10,500/£5,000. Four semi-finalists will be invited to present their projects at a panel session during the Sheffield Doc/Fest. The winner will be announced at the festival’s Cross Platform program. Semi-finalists must finance their own travel to the festival.

The EU’s Culture programme (2007-2013) has a budget of €400 million for projects and initiatives to celebrate Europe’s cultural diversity and enhance our shared cultural heritage through the development of cross-border co-operation between cultural operators and institutions.
The Culture programme aims to achieve three main objectives: to promote cross-border mobility of those working in the cultural sector; to encourage the transnational circulation of cultural and artistic output; and to foster intercultural dialogue.

As an inter-state institution, the Czech-German Fund for the Future is a concrete result of the Czech-German Declaration. The Danish Film Institute (DFI) is the government agency responsible for supporting and encouraging film and cinema culture and for conserving these in the national interest. Dunatáj Foundation (Danube Region Foundation) was established by the Hungarian Movie and Film Factory in 1994. Our workshop is for non-profit films and TV programmes. Our purpose is to shoot and to distribute valuable documentary films, help young and talented directors' work, support cultural events and promote relationship between the film and its audience primarily among people living in the Duna river basing. Some 300 films enjoyed our support in the past 12 years.
