On the 2nd of March 1998 seven Estonian filmmakers - Sulev Keedus, Valentin Kuik, Dorian Supin, Mart Otsa, Kadri Kanter, Kaie-Ene Rääk ja Reet Sokmann – founded the film studio F-Seitse OÜ to make and show their films. During the past six years they released 15 documentaries, 2 feature films, a 12-episode TV serial as well as wrote and published Estonian Film Yearbook 1991 – 1999. Since 1998 F-Seitse OÜ is a member of European Documentary Network and the Association of Estonian Film and Video Studios.

Factum is the biggest and most important independent documentary production in Croatia and unique organisation in the SEE Region. From 1996, when it was founded, Factum produced some 50 documentaries that were shown on more than 70 festivals all over the world. Factum films repeatedly win major domestic awards (including four best producer ones) and some were very successful internationally. They deal mostly with human rights, social and other issues dealing with contemporary Croatia and the region. Most of Factum's filmmakers are young ones creating their first or second film here. Also, Factum is a production with the highest number of women directors in the country. Apart from producing films, Factum and its founder and leader, Nenad Puhovski became synonym for the constant struggle for better conditions and presence of creative documentaries within a post-war and transitional society and challenging the unwillingness of the public broadcaster to support the genre. FADE IN - Fantastično Dobra Institucija (Incredibly Good Institution) was founded in 2000. The main aim of Fade In's production is the support of the civil sector as well as promotion of socially engaged action; the exploration and presentation of society's burning issues in the field of human rights, ecology, and urban culture; and bringing them to the broad public through mass media, especially the public television. Due to increased production, Fade In started a limited liability company under the same name in 2008 – FADE iN d.o.o. In the thirteen years since its founding, Fade In produced over 30 documentaries, animated and experimental films as well as 110 episodes of Direkt documentary series. Fama Films was established in 1996 for the production of documentary and feature films, and also provides screenwriting and production services in Poland and other countries. Before the company was established, between 1989-1995 the main producer Ewa Misiewicz worked in France, where she produced television programmes for Polish and French television. In 1994/1995, while in Paris, she among other participated in the creation of the Canal Plus Polska television channel. The company’s main aim is to produce films dealing with serious social issues. Fama films also produces television reports. The company mainly concentrates on producing original documentary films.

Established in 2000, Fáma Productions is engaged in film and TV production. Its main project for 2006-2007 was the production of the feature film Keep Smiling, directed by Pavol Korec.
