TV- and film production company NBN (Northern Broadcasting Network, www.nbn.ee) was established in 2001 in February. Testfilm Ltd, what is hosting company of Northern Broadcasting Network Llc, was established in 1996 to support the studies of the students in Tallinn University in the field of media and cinema. Main activity fields of the Northern Broadcasting Network have been producing TV shows and films, renting professional video- and editing equipment and offering interactive new media products and services. In the beginning of 2007 it was decided to focus to develop and produce documentary series about human-environment-technology relationships in various societies and throughout the history. At the moment we have prepared and developed that project almost one year, we have been shooting three times, two times in Norway and once in England. Shootings will continue in 2008 all over the world.

NoTrac Productions is a Tokyo based film production company created by two French cinephiles: a film director and a banker, to develop original Japanese film content for foreign entertainment platforms. We believe that great stories are universal and through our documentaries we want to inform and touch audiences outside of Japan (in Europe and America) by offering a foreign perspective on local, beautiful and untold stories.

Founded in October 2004 as a cinema film distribution company, NOTRO FILMS is mainly involved in the comprehensive management of audiovisual rights. Its activities range from the acquisition of the rights of national and foreign films, to the production and development of new projects for cinema, television and theatre. With its headquarters in Catalonia, NOTRO FILMS Madrid focuses on television production. In the theatrical field, NOTRO FILMS has produced the international known musical Grease together with Stromboli and Filmax, and also with Filmax, Pérez, El Ratoncito de tus Sueños. NOTRO FILMS backs a combination of films of quality and commercial success, focusing on products from the "popular arthouse" trend: independent films with clear commercial potential, capable of achieving success at the box office. It boasts a catalogue of nearly 500 titles made up of films of different genres and orientation, and its capital is 100% Spanish. In 2006, NOTRO FILMS started its own international sales activities with titles from a variety of genres such as the art-house drama Honor de Cavalleria (Honor of the Knights), which was in the Director's Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival 2006 or the successful Argentinian comedy No sos vos, soy yo (It's Not You, It's Me) with over 500,000 viewers in Spain. In 2007, NOTRO FILMS presents two brand new titles: Fernando Trueba's produced drama Under the Stars (Bajo las Estrellas), winner of the Malaga Spanish Film Festival; and the psychologial thriller Fermat's Room (La Habitación de Fermat), recently presented in competition in SITGES Film Festival. NOTRO FILMS was awarded with the Kinepolis Award as the best distribution company in 2005.

Novanima is a production company aiming at producing animated and documentary films. This company is managed by Marc FAYE who has been working in this area for nine years and has developed a network of connections, a know-how and an experience enabling him to contribute to the production of films and to run a company. Novanima’s aim is to reveal and accompany new talents. Novanima is member of the European Documentary Network (EDN).
