Rotor is a film production company based in Prague, Czech Republic that represents local directors and animators who have international experience and ambitions. Rotor develops and produces TV commercials and music videos and provides production services for visiting filmmakers in central Europe. Radio Televizija Republike Srpske (Радио Телевизија Републике Српске), otherwise RTRS, is the public-service broadcasting organization of the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Founded in 1992 and with its headquarters in Banja Luka, RTRS broadcasts a 24-hour television programme as well as one radio channel known as Radio Republike Srpske. Rühm Pluss Null was established in 1994 by three film directors and studio has produced around 40 films, mostly documentaries, since then. Studio has its own filming equipment and editing facilities. Many young and talented Estonian directors, now enjoying international acclaim, began their road to success and made their first films in this studio (among them Jaak Kilmi, Andres Maimik, Marko Raat, Meelis Muhu, Kullar Viimne, Jaan Tootsen, etc.), while the studio keeps discovering new ones. The Ruth Beckermann Filmproduktion is based in Vienna, Austria. Produces all films by filmmaker Ruth Beckermann.

Ruut has produced films and television programmes since 2000. Over the years, a number of feature films, documentaries and many television programmes as well as numerous commercials have been made. Ruut is one of Estonia’s biggest production companies both by the number of films and TV programmes as well as the size of their crew and the company’s turnover. Ruut’s first feature film Made in Estonia gained the most viewers in 2003 in Estonia, even outperforming The Lord of the Rings. The film has participated at a string of festivals, and was elected one of Europe’s top ten films by Variety in Karlovy Vary. In 2006, Fed up!, co-produced by Estonia and Germany premiered and also received awards at several festivals. Other completed works include the TV-feature The Agony of Hunt, the short film Zen through Garbage, while the TV feature Kinnunen is in post-production and the historical action drama Coffee & Diamonds in production. Ruut’s feature films are produced by Artur Talvik. The first documentary films by Ruut were made for a series of the Estonian Television called Estonian Stories in 2003. In 2005 and 2006, the first episodes of the documentary series Hot Cold War premiered – Group Haukka and The Blue Hills, which investigate the events of World War II and the Cold War era in Estonia. The latter of the two received the annual prize of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia. Among the films which have premiered more recently are Headwind Hall which focuses on the conductor Tõnu Kaljuste and his opera theatre on Naissaar, and Greetings from Soviet Estonia!, about Estonian dissidents. The documentaries Lotman’s World, Baruto, Black-and-White Window and Baltic Buddha are in production. Ruut’s documentaries are produced by Kiur Aarma and Artur Talvik.
