VERAfilm was founded in 1998 by Petr Bok and Martin Smok as a production company dedicated to creation and distribution of veracious documentaries based on in-depth research of the primary information. The VERAfilm production should thus consistently enhance the education possibilities of the multimedia age. The first major project in which VERAfilm actively participated was documentary trilogy Among Blind Fools, a film presenting some of the hidden chapters of the Holocaust. Vernon Films is a UK film and media production company, founded in 2010 with the aim of producing commercially driven independent cinema. We are striving to create films which push the boundaries of their genre while reaching the widest possible audiences. Vernon Films focuses on feature films and documentaries whilst aiming to also expand into television drama and comedy.

During the first five years the company attained recognition as a producer of wildlife and mountaineering films. Vesilind is a member of European Documentary Network since 2003. From 2001 Vesilind has promoted itself as a producer of wild-life and environmental films and TV programs. This strategy has provided the opportunity to secure a niche in Estonia. All films made by Vesilind have been aired by Estonian TV companies; most have been presented at the annual film festival of Estonian film-makers. The company is led by a Board of Directors, the chairman of which is Riho Västrik. Vezfilm limited was created in London in 2009. It focuses on creative documentaries and innovative communication media, with an emphasis on topics of social and political relevance. The company builds on the experience of successful documentaries produced and directed in France, Poland and Italy by its founders and their experience with documentary productions for the Al Jazeera network. The company is currently co-producing the documentary THE END AND THE BEGINNING with the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing (Poland), and developing two creative documentaries: THE TRAIN TO MOSCOW and YOU HAVE TO BE THERE, co-produced by Otter Films (Poland), developed and pitched at the Documentary Campus Masterschool, IDFA Summer School, IDFA Seeding Table, Baltic Sea Forum and Dok Leipzig.

All-Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov (Russian: Всероссийский государственный университет кинематографии имени С.А.Герасимова), VGIK, is a film school in Moscow. It was founded by the film director Vladimir Gardin in 1919 and is, according to the institute, the oldest film school in the world.

Founded in the year 1993 when his current owner Mr. J.P.Miška left the state company Kratky film Praha, where he used to be employed for 17 years, and emerged as a renowned film director and an art designer, after passing through further professions at the world-famous Jiří TRNKA’s studio . His last cartoon film "The Rosy Elephant" (1989) has received many awards, e.g. in 1990, "Award of Hermina Tyrlova" at the International Children Film Festival in Zlín, and other awards during the International Festival in Espinho, Portugal, and in Chicago, USA. He also received "Creative Premium" accorded by the Czech literary Fund.

The Video Pontes Foundation was established in 1994 by Maksay Ágnes and Marius Tabacu. The primary goal of the foundation is to produce movies, mostly documentary films with Transylvanian topic. But the foundation is not excluding the possibility to make or to cooperate in producing motion pictures. Over the years the foundation developed into a serious producing studio, now with the possibility to broadcast live shows all over Europe. The most important activity however remains the documentary filmmaking.
