Founded in 1950, MFPA represents the interests of film professionals and film authors in our country. Besides looking after its members’ rights and interests, MFPA fosters the professional development and growth of film creativity in the Republic of Macedonia. The Association aims to strengthen Macedonian cinema and to ensure its continuity amid different activities. From year to year, MFPA offers significant contribution to Macedonian cinema and affirms world film art here in our country. The Department of Culture is the governmental department that coordinates policies in the area of culture and related domains. The department wants to stimulate, support and promote policies and events that facilitate access to new cultural opportunities, and supports diversity within cultural creation. The Ministry of Culture of Slovak Republic was founded in 1969. Ministry of Culture, Sports and Media Montenegro

In the state government, matters relating to film and AV culture come under the Department for Cultural Policy and its Cultural Division. Subordinate to the Ministry of Education are the Finnish Film Archive and the Board of Film Classification. The promotion of domestic film production and its distribution has been delegated to the Finnish Film Foundation, which receives an annual appropriation of some EUR 8.7 million for financing film, television and video production and distribution. The sum is used to subsidise about ten feature films and 35 short and documentary films annually. Finland also has a Television and Radio Foundation, which supports domestic production with EUR 2.2 million a year.

The film division of the arts department is responsible for the development, maintenance and evaluation of the ministry’s film policy.

Part of the agenda of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the three projectshave been set up to aidthe development of cinema indifferent regionsof the world. Plan Images Afriquecomprises several tools designed to enhance the creativity of professionals and generate an industrial production network in this zone: the Fonds Images Afrique (backing for film and television production)| Africa Cinemas (support for distributing African films in Africa)| a television modernization programme for some ten countries in French-speaking Africa entrusted to Canal France International Audiovisual and TV Company (CFI). Plan Images Archives is a natural follow-up to Plan Images Afrique that aims to develop digital archive programmesthat would protect allsignificant AV works. Fonds Sud Cinema is a selective funding agency that supports the production offull-length feature films from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Arab world and some Eastern European countries.

The Netherlands Media Art Institute, Montevideo/Time Based Arts has set the goal for itself of promoting the wide development, application and distribution of, and reflection on new technologies in the visual arts. The Netherlands Media Art Institute supports media art in three core areas: presentation, research and conservation, and through its facilities provides extensive services for artists and art institutions. Associated with this are educational programmes, which are developed for all activities and which are designed for various target audiences, including the general public, secondary schools, professional art training and specialists such as artists, art historians and curators. The programme comprises among others workshops, expert meetings, awards, lectures, symposia, etc.

Moviement organization was created by VGIK (Russian State Institute of Cinema) alumnies in 2007. Since 2008 Moviement is a Nisi Masa network member. Moviement people have already taken part in several workshops and seminar and organized two editions of their own big documentary filmmaking project Cinetrain which took place in September 2008 and September 2009.

Mozaik is a community development foundation that provides grants and advisory support to local initiatives of common interest throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. We focus on local resource mobilization and sustainability of social and economic development through implementing a range of programs that support initiatives in rural communities. As such, we have selected several programmatic areas that are used as an incentive for community development: cultural heritage, inclusion/social justice and youth, which are all based on our own in-house developed CDD approach. Besides for this, our programme "For Active Communities" allows for the implementation of the initiatives which can solve any issue, selected by the members of the communities.

The Multimedia Institute [mi2] is a Zagreb-based NGO that sprang up in 1999. Stepping into the still unchartered territory between the social and cultural agency and the developments in new technologies, [mi2] brought together an emerging generation of civil activists, media practitioners, independent cultural actors and social and media theorists. Eight years on, [mi2] continues to pursue following principle tasks: to develop new media practices relevant for critical social and cultural action; to promote and develop socially inflected approaches to technologies – free software, free culture and open standards; to present contemporary philosophy, social and media theory; to present contemporary film, music and new media culture; to protect public domain, contest gentrification and encourage citizen participation in urban development; to strengthen independent cultural sector and to advocate progressive cultural policies in order to support emerging tendencies of socio-cultural reformism in the independent cultural sector. [mi2] is locally recognized through the activities of its cultural center MAMA, its Human Rights Film Festival (jointly organized with Association for Cultural Development - URK) and its engagement in urban activist initiative Right to the City.
